Got about 1.5 hours to kill

Pic related, one of my patients

Why you kill one of your patients?

How many guns do you wish you had vs how many you actually have.

if i start to feel that my teeth hurt (nothing much guess too many sweets), how long do i need to lay of sweets?

i have two questions.
1. what is the best way to whiten our teeth without having to go to a dentist and get them whitened?
2. have you ever felt up your patients when they are knocked out?

none vs none. got 2 bows though

when do they hurt? cold, hot, chewing, on their own? laying off sweets aint the anwser. the key is proper and frequent brushing

lol i sure hope that the pic is Before the treatment

1 sadly you cant
2 i dont use general anesthesia. illegal in my country for private dentistry. you can have it hospitals though for extreme cases like mentally disabled people etc.

yeah poor girl had a genetic disease that fucked up her enamel but she's rocking a kickass smile atm. that was aprox 2 years ago

i brush every night (because in the morning doesnt make sense (you will have meal in 5 mins)), they hurt when i chew on something or drink water and its a light quick pain (caries i guess)

brushing in the morning isnt to remove the food from your teeth, but the bacteria in between and around your teeth. it also makes you smell less like a slob and makes you feel fresher.

can't you just grind down the teeth sticking out to make them even?

but when you eat you get new bacteria which again causes smelly breath

so the whitening tooth paste is bullshit? what the best toothpaste to use?

So what's wrong with pic related?
Are you familiar with the technique of swishing a clear oil(like coconut) 20 minutes per day for health benefits and whitening?

Do you take pictures of little kids when they're gassed out?

you should brush 3x a day. minimum is 2x a day. i usually recommend brushing before going to bed and 30 mins after breakfast. (if your breakfast does not contain acidic foods/drinks you can brush right after)
sounds like medium sized carries. should visit a dentist before it gets worse.

exactly. but also to remove the remnants of breakfast

nah. that will fuck up the smile aesthetics and expose dentin (the inner part of teeth). her malformed enamel had to be excised and replaced with composite resin. i think i have a pic immediately post operatively but the colors look like shit because the teeth get dehydrated during the op.

thats why you brush after breakfast

yeah total bullshit. its actually abrasive and hurts your enamel. you want bleaching agents but only dentists can buy them.

amelogenesis imperfecta. developmental anomally of enamel (the brown/yellow spots)
no but im pretty sure it wouldnt work for bleaching.

again. i dont use general anesthesia.

I have a gap inbetween my teeth, is it bad if I take one of those dental rubberband things people use for braces and put them around my teeth to straighten them and get rid of the gap?

Also, what the fuck are you talking about ? Just brush AFTER your breakfast genius.

This way, people don't have to smell your morning breath mixed with coffee.

Damn, are americans all this retarded ?

On another note for OP:

I'm 25 and i've only been twice to the dentist for check-ups, and both times (different doc) they told me I had amazing "teeth quality" (can't remember the exact words) and that they thought I wouldn't have much trouble with them during my life.

Is this a thing ? Some people have way better teeth than others to the point they won't have trouble with them for a lifetime ?

What were your best & worst cases so far in your career ?

but that bacteria hasnt been in your mouth for a whole night, dude. Also, you "should" brush after every meal. Most foods and drinks are acidic and damages the teeth over time. You shower, eat and sleep even if you have to redo it quite often. Brush your teeth, dude.

Do you ever write yourself prescriptions for pain meds to get 'white people high' on your days off?

I brush 1,5 per day approx. Cause I'am sometimes too lazy to do it on Sundays / holidays.

see

post the after results then

I haven't been able to eat sugary or hot/cold things on the left side of my mouth for 4ish years now, and as a result I now have TMJ (yes I know that's technically just the joint's name) on the right side of my mouth. My dentist never found any cavities even though I have a history of getting cavities, and instead told me to get my wisdom teeth removed. Of course that didn't solve the problem. Is my dentist an idiot?

post the kickass smile

Is he old?

are veneers a pretty usual thing or are they crazy expensive so no one gets them?
i used to drink a lot of pop when i was a kid and now my teeth dont look very white anymore

Hi, user. Serious question.
What the fuck is this?
How can she treat this at home? Antibiotics?
Her gums are receding at the front two teeth. The gums next to it are inflamed.

...

I'm really bad at brushing my teeth, like once or twice a week bad. How bad is that?

I have 2 fillings on both my 2nd last molars on the lower part one is black and one is white which one is better and can I eat anything I want with them? like hard nuts and such? I'\m always scared of them eventually cracking. Also I got a lot of tartar, is there any way to remove it without removing part of the teeth and is tartar a potential for teeth degradation?

They shave off like 20% of your tooth before applying the veneers. Shit will not help the health of your teeth.

how much am i playing with my life when I still have all my wisdom teeth in me (age 26) but they're all rotting ?

I have a little hole in one of my tooth, it hurts when i eat from that side and it keeps hurting until the next day, but if i dont eat from that side it doesnt hurt at all, is that a cavity?

are you fucking serious??

What is this thing on my gum it kind of gives way a tiny bit when I run my younger over it and if I brush too hard it bleeds I snagged it on a cookie and my dentist said it's rollback how can I treat it?

ITT: Pedophiles fishing pics of a dentists patient. Kill yourselves

Younger- I meant tongue

60 or so, but it must be like a teaching office or something, he has a bunch of young female assistants that do the majority of the work and he just checks after them.

OP help me out. every time i use a whitening toothpaste after a few hours i get these white goopy string things that seem like they're just peeling off the inside of my cheeks.. wtf is happening???

>i dont use general anesthesia.
Then how do you get the pictures?

I have a dry mouth naturally, and then an extra-dry mouth from medication -- I drink a lot lot lot of water, but am I just fucked still?

pic is the same patient. one of her molars affected by the disease. had to put a crown on that.

yeah you could really mess em up if you dont knw where and how much force to apply

yeah genetics play a major role in saliva and hard tooth tissue "quality". best case was 32 yo patient never been to a dentist with perfect dentition. worst case (not counting genetic diseases etc, just human stupidity) was 23 year old patient who lost all his teeth and had to get total dentures on both jaws. had never touched a tooothbrush in his life. first time i saw him his face was so swelled from all the cysts in his jaws he looked like a hot air balloon.

no but i have written some recommendations to get people some days of sick leave from work.

will do on next post.

yeah you propably need some root canal treatments by the sound of it. tmj disorder could be just a temporary symptom of the real problem. (multiple deep carrious lessions)

dont have recall pics on this laptop. but i do have the immediate post op. will post on my next post.

veneers are awesome and usual. its actually my field of expertise. yeah they are expensive but smile changing and with a low biological cost.

cause it's local anesthesia

Does that charcoal toothpaste/powder work? Or is it a load of shit?

are these pictures of one of your worst patients?

Because my mouth looks a looooot worse, i can tell you that.

I bleach my teeth at home with bleach I bought from the dentist office.

When I had my wisdom teeth taken out they also removed both my mandibular 1st molars because they were ankylose and coming in all weird and sideways, plus they never had adult teeth grow under them. Now I have two implants and they kick ass. just thought I'd share since they told me it was a unique case.

yes

Must take a lot to get the kids naked.

Teeth whitening products only avaliable to dentists

Would chronic use of h2o2 eventually whiten the tooth?

Not OP but are you sure it's not your cheek cells? I can scrape some off my linea alba every morning and it's similar to what you described.

I always spit out a little blood when I've brushed my teeth. I guess it's the gum.

I use medium brushes, 31yo, never had caries, just a little dental calculus.

What could I be doing wrong?

Had a root canal but the filling bled into the tooth, now the tooth is grey.

Can they do anything about it,? how much would it cost to replace it (upper left 1)?

3x a day what the fuck nigger??? You fuckhead dentists think we dont have anything better to do? Do you realize brushing is more than 5 minutes? By the time you tongue scrape, brush teeth, tongue, and walls/roof of mouth, lips, floss, then gargle, its like 20 minutes NOT TO MENTION you have to be around a bathroom and a mirror, like wtf, 1/24th every day to brush my teeth fuck off and kill yourself.

This is the problem with you fucking dipshit doctors. "Drink 8 glasses a day, eat your vitamins, excercise, sleep 8 hour." My professors who had Ph.D. in their fields all tell me "For every hour you're in class, you should spend 3 hours studying.

FUCK.

OFF.

Theyre are not enough hours in the day to do all this shit you tell us to do, so fucking kill yourself you're stunting our evolutionary growth with this brushing obsession you fucking faggots.

i get those sometimes too, but when i use a whitening toothpaste it gets bad, and it happens like all day. sometimes i use my finger to just scrape the sides of my mouth and get it out, and then more comes back

My bottom front teeth are loose in the gums. They wiggle slightly when I press against them with my top teeth, bit they don't hurt at all and my gums are healthy. Is that normal? Also how long does it take smoking cigs to have an effect on your teeth.

immediate post up on the 4 frontal teeth. it looks bad but 4 days afterwards you cant see anything but perfect natural teeth. dont have the followup pics on this home laptop

she need to get her calculus removed. also you need to get a minor surgery to remove the central piece of "gum" connecting the gums to the cheek. cant remember the english term for it. cant treat it at home. easy procedure. both shouldnt take more that an 1 hour together and post op it heals in 1 week especially if the excission is performed with a laser.

yeah its really bad in the long run

shit my power might go out. technician at home

I always get told not to use medium. Softies only. My thought process is the same as yours: harder bristles = better cleaning. But my DDS told me it's not worth the damage it does to your gums in the long run. Said to use soft and just brush longer.

What if she doesn't treat it? And what caused it?

I'm a smoker and heavy drinker with poor dental hygiene, my teeth are bit more yellow than those you posted. Will they be whitened if i just start brushing three times a day? How long would it take?

Also, what's the meaning of life?

one of my molars rotted out and theres still 2 shard piece there. how dangerous is it to not get it removed?

not OP but stop smoking the cigs... it will happen quick

is it fluorosis?

I have gum bleeding for a few years now.. like several times per week but not every day after brushing teeth. My dentist tells me theres nothing to fix about that and I have to get along with this because theres no cure. I should just brush them normaly even though it bleeds like fuck sometimes. Is that true?

>I have chunks of rotting flesh embedded in my face. Is danjer?

Fucking k e k

Is fluoride a secret mind control chemical?

My sister is currently studing odontology, Im just a nurse :'( btw.
Any advices for her?

Just got a back right molar pulled because of a botched root canal, and now the tooth next to the extraction is hurting on contact. How fucked am I Mr. Dentist?

old fucks dont bother with education and youll miss out on modern treatment

are you legally retarded? What does any of that have to do with the dentist? They recommend you to do certain things, for your own sake, noone is forcing you and it certainly isn't recommended for the dentists sake.

both are "fine". i prefer the "white" ones since they are both equally strong. actually scratch that the "white" ones are better because they simmulate the elasticity of the tooth structures. "black" ones are way too un-elastic? and have been accused of causing fractures. not to mention the aesthetic part. you shouldnt be cracking nuts with your teeth by the way. there are tools for that. removing tartar with ultrasound does not hurt the hard tooth tissues

there are prepless (no preparation/"shaving" needed). but even prepped ones are WAY more conservative than crowns. also 20% for a veneer is also WAAAAAY too much.

none at all. i still have all 4 of mine.

yeah and probably a big one go get it treated.

lots of posts with questions. ill be more brief with my answers to try to get them all.

Op pls?

My tooth hurts sometimes.

Nothing sweet, hard or cold trigger it. Just hurts sometimes, like for a day or two every 3-4 months.

Do you think it's a cavity?

gingivitis stupid.

Ive been brushing for years, and yet my teeth continue to decay, even without sugary drinks and snacks.

This possibly a genetic thing? My mother had the same thing.

I'm on medications that are basically destroying my teeth. One causes excessive dry mouth and another fucks with my sinuses, along with grinding my teeth. So for the past 9 years I've effectively been sleeping at night with an open and dry mouth and occasionally grinding my teeth. Now I have several gumline cavities and my teeth are effectively fucked. I still take care of them, but haven't been to the dentist in a while. Considering like 6 of my teeth are eroding somewhere and my enamel is weak all around are they even worth trying to save, or should I just be looking to get some kind of replacement at this point? Only 29 btw.

in the U.S. this is treated with grafting. it won't get better on it's own. it's a fairly easy, lifelong fix, but you probably need to see a periodontist.

How long did it take you to pay off your loans?

>minimum is 2x a day.
>minimum
Is that a challenge?

How am I doin, doc

Shit I chped my teeth like that but the left one split in half

How much do porcelain fillers cost

>"For every hour you're in class, you should spend 3 hours studying.

Well if you're at uni full-time, you have what, 16-18 credit hours per semester? 20 if you overload like me? And since you're paying to attend and don't have a family to care for, it's much more than a full-time job -- not some 40 hr/wk thing. So yeah, 4 hrs/credit hr if you're in the lib arts (no labs) is only 60 hours/wk, which is the absolute peak of laziness for a college student, even if you're a Div1 athlete.

just a bit of gum recession. regular brushing and tooth cleaning at the dentist should fix it. nothing major to worry about.

that patient was 23 years old at the time of treatment.

its the abrasive agents in the toothpaste. stop using that toothpaste. "whitening" toothpastes are a big lie.

with a camera? i dont understand the question. they are informed about me taking pictures for my personal archives and educational uses. they also help with giving the patient a before/after compilation post op

you can use synthetic saliva replacements to combat the symptoms.

load of shit

nah this is a pretty easy case. seen WAAAAAAY worse.

thats ok as long as it wasnt just bleach, but a bleaching agent XD

awesome for ya. yeah its not very common. i am missing my 2 upper lateral incisors

depends. pure h2o2 yes. medically approved bleaching agents at far enough intervals, no

dental calculus. go get it removed. easy

you can fix the esthetics with anything from a filling to a veneer to a crown. costs anywhere from 60-600 euros depending on treatment option and material used.

not normal at all. go get your teeth scaled by a dentist. its bad for your teeth fo sho. i am a smoker though.... sigh

always use medium. soft=not enough to clean cause plaque is "sticky", hard=too hard and damages enamel

its genetic. she couldnt help it. if it goes untreated the affected teeth and prone to carries and fractures much more than regular teeth. like WAY more

damn lots of questions

why don't you go back to faggot with your ama.
rhetorical question tho

OP pls answer

If you're on heavy meds my guess is you're a poorfag like me -- go to a dental school for treatment (make the appointment now -- there's a month-long wait) and they'll put you in for continuing care since you'll have a lot of cavities but you'll have a high likelihood of showing up regularly for appointments since you already see other doctors. Super cheap and all insurance covers. I paid out of pocket before Obamacare and it was $50 per cavity -- now it's free (MA Medicaid expansion).

How much do you intentionally hurt your patients?

Do you ever use the slogan "Drill baby, drill!"

how to get white teeth ?

Thank you so much. Saying that she couldn't help it and its genetic will calm her down.

Are you brushing properly? Brush should stay pretty much in place to allow the brisles to get between teeth and gums (if you hear a brushing noise, youre going waaay too fast).

Also floss and/or use those softpicks to clean hard to reach areas and massage the gums.

I've got United Healthcare through Medicaid right now and it's pretty comfy with it's coverage. One of my friends from high school is a toothfag now so might ask him about it. I'm a poorfag but that has nothing to do with the meds I'm on; I have epilepsy, so it's either shitty meds or several seizures a week. Thanks for the hot tips, I'll look into it.

I have a 7mm sialolith. How fucked am i? Going to specialist next week.

idk brushing isnt that hard man but i agree with you on the other shit. its all retarded. you should be good with 1 thorough brush at night, and a quickie after breakfast

kinda better if you brush and remove calculus. only way to make em "normal| color again is tooth bleaching. easy mode. meaning of life is 42

really dangerous. could cause a large cyst, pain etc etc etc. go get em removed

nah fluorosis is different and way rarer.

get another dentist

nah just 'muricans and their consiracy theories. fluoride is extremely important for our teeth.

what is odontology? im not familiar with the term

if the trauma is still fresh it could be just a small gum recession or tooth hypersensitivity. if it doesnt go away 1 week after the op go to a dentist.

going as fast as i can. already anwsered that though.

gingivitis plus the gum part that connects the gums to the cheek is too high and should be cut.

maaaaaaybe. more probable though that your brushing technique is wrong

ok complicated case. go to a dentist for a checkup. use artificial saliva supplements, get a night splint for the grinding and use a bit of vaseline on your gums before going to sleep.

grafting should be a last resort. regual excision should be ok.

no loans. europe ftw. it was expensive though

lol

blurry

composite resin can go from 60-200 euros. porcelain veneer 350-600 euros

none at all. i always use anesthesia and cant imagine myself hurting my patients.

in my mind all the fking time. cant shout it though or my patients will freak out

bleaching. dentists can do tha tfor you

there are treatments though. she couldnt help having the problem but it can be fixed and quite easily i might add

routine procedure to remove it. you shouldnt feel a thing and post op treatment is fast and easy. dont worry about it. also 7mm aint THAT big.

>>maaaaaaybe. more probable though that your brushing technique is wrong
Alright. Ill switch up my brushing. Already flossing.
Im relatively certain Im going to lose my teeth since I cant afford basic dental maintenance, but at least Ill go for longevity til I can.
Thanks.

Thanks doc.
