This is the debut single from a band I've been in since 2013 basically. The single is the group's first real release. I'm not actually on this release but I'll be on the full length, the lineup is loose. Full length COULD come out late this year, we're not sure yet.

Someone asked me what techniques I used in one of the previous threads but it died while I was sleeping, so hopefully you'll see it now. the first three tracks on here were made using Puredata run through some guitar effects and then with some very minor editing afterward, the last two were made from short recordings of different objects and what not that I cut up and manipulated
I'm liking this new track quite a bit

Will Recc:
Caught your stuff in an earlier thread that died and didn't get to comment. Just curious how you go about both recording and editing your work, I liked the sound but felt there was some crunch missing, but agree that the use of varying tones etc is nice on the noise walls. Do you edit and cut much from improvised recordings or?
Some nice stuff over here if you sought through it

Are you sure you didn't get to comment? I saw the thread after I got up today and someone had asked the exact same question. I actually addressed it in my post there but it looks like you missed it:
>Someone asked me what techniques I used in one of the previous threads but it died while I was sleeping, so hopefully you'll see it now. the first three tracks on here were made using Puredata run through some guitar effects and then with some very minor editing afterward, the last two were made from short recordings of different objects and what not that I cut up and manipulated
I checked out your stuff, I really like how you can effectively do more atmospheric parts, rhythmic stuff and just pure harsh noise. Keeps it from getting boring like some pure noise can
>experimental rock
>weird sounds
>sampled electronic
>ambient
Hey man, sorry I didn't get around to responding to you from the last thread. Listening your stuff now; I agree the rythmic noise seems to mesh well with the regular harsh noise. Keeps it nice and dynamic. You're from Melbourne, I see. Do you know the guy from Lost Salt Blood Purges?
>experimental
>ambient

Raw house interview today; three-way split hopefully within a week or so. Stay crunchy, m'lads.
thanks, was just interested in your approach as I'm new at trying this out. yeah, I must have missed it, perhaps time differences or something.
Currently I'm just recording everything onto a loop pedal and then cutting down usually a 15 minute file to a 3-5 minute end product. Removing some of that filler which can be boring, esp in a non-live format.

>dark ambient, ambient, Gothic horror, lo-fi dungeon synth
I'm going to prison in under 48 hours so I don't have time to make a full album, sorry.
Recs:
I'm pretty new at actually focusing on this stuff too, I've done some experiments with sample manipulation and stuff before but now that I'm actually recording material I'm trying to use more varied techniques to keep my shit from getting stale.
The way I tend to deal with that filler problem you're talking about is instead of going in blind and editing it down later, before I record something I'll play around with whatever technique I'm using for the track to figure out how to get various types of sounds, then once I have a handle on that I'll start recording. It allows me to do longer tracks that are still mostly if not entirely improvised, with minimal stuff I need to cut out later
