Pantera
St. Vincent
Bunch of old blues players
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Meatloaf
Erykah Badu
Bunch of shitty metal

kill me

Kingston NY, I wouldn't technically say it produced them, but both Claudio and Josh are from here and went to the same high school that I did (not at the same time as me though)

This also counts for Woodstock I guess, because they recorded/produced three of their albums there (4 if you count the Afterman albums separately) and I live basically halfway between Kingston and Woodstock

simple minds

if we're going by hometown it's Guided By Voices

You mean the fall or joy division

Steely Dan or Talking Heads

Birth Town:
Death
Home Town:
Probably Sonic Graffiti

TEENAGE KICKS ALL THOUGH THE NIGHT

I'm from Minneapolis. The Replacements are probably the best band to come from here.

Nine Inch Nails is a close second

The Kinks, my mates dad went to school with one of em

Maynard James Keenan or Del Shannon.
Anthony Kiedis too, but he's been in California for decades now.
Once got to see them for free because a friend's parents live next door to Kiedis's grandparents or some shit.

Gang of Four or Mel B from Spice Girls I guess

Aphrodite's Child

Pixies and Dinosaur Jr. if you count the state.

Damn a lot of good stuff coming out of Manchester

Sadly

QOTSA

only one sadly.

>only one sadly

nigga what the fuck?

you do mean palm desert right

bon iver is the only artist I could find from my city

...

I wanna say the Carpenters or Pat Powdrill, but that wouldn't count really since they're not really bands.

In terms of historical, probably the Chantays for the song Pipeline (even though they formed in Santa Cruz, they recorded the single here).

If we're talking about personal preference, then I'd give it to the Hustlers or the Revels.

Haven't listened to the Blasters, so don't know if they count. Also, don't know if they count, but James Hetfield and Kerry King went to high school here, Weird Al' was born here, and apparently the guy from Devo also went to high school here.

...

fuck dude, spoiler this image! nearly fell out of my chair

...

Or the black keys or Chrissie Hynde

Does Michael Jackson count as a band

...

Madonna?

>Shithole in Mexico
