Sinister, especially the fucking lawnmower scene

the babadook

The Shining

Ghostbusters (current year edition).

>Mama
>Insidious
>Grave Encounters
>As Above So below
>The Decent
>The Conjuring
>The Witch
>Rec

I bet i know some that are better. But im not so good at remembering movies on the spot.

Also

>The Hills have eyes.
>28 weeks later.
>Dead Snow 2 (More of a comedy. But its awesome)
>Evil Dead

I know ive seen this movie before. But i cant remember where its from.
Is it that movie about the old lady that is possesed?

Movies ive seen recently:

the new Blair Witch is nice if you like found footage movies
Autopsy of Jane Doe was pretty gud aswell
Dont Breathe I also liked
Not really a horror but i fucking loved The Human Centipede 3, that shit was hilarious, also, gore gore gore

The Taking Of Deborah Logan

>Blair Witch.
Really? Ive heard so much bad out it.

>Human centipede.
Agree those movies are jokes. But pretty funny.
I love the doctor in the 1st. He is perfect for that fuckt up role.

Aaah yes. I was right. Pretty good movie

>as above so below
abandon all hope, ye who enter

BW: it has a different vibe than the the original, i cant say i didnt enjoy it though, hope were getting more nice sequels in the future

HC3: the first movie was sort of "serious", the second one less so, and the third is straight up a B-movie and straight up a parody of the first two movies. Tom Six (the guy behind the movies) actualy appears in the movie, basicly just to throw up

Cool ill check out BW.
Dont Breathe also sounds pretty interesting.

The entire Phantasm series is a fantastic romp. Atmospheric, campy, and still genuinely creepy at times.

The last chapter just came out so now is a great time to binge the entire franchise.

I saw dont breathe in the cinema, was definitely worth it (especially for the basement scene, when you see it youll understand, that sequence was made for the big screen)

I just watched The Green Inferno
Not sure how much you like gore but that shit was top notch.

American Horror Story is actually pretty good. Especially the first two seasons.

I would not say they are scary at all. But the story is good.

...

Isnt that the movie "remake" of Cannibal Holocaust?

this, the second movie with the snow scene was fucking unexpected

>]
sinister 2 was shit compared to the original though imo

Disturbing,
I've never had the balls to watch

Noroi

yeah, I mean I disliked the film but the gore was decent.

babadook started off good then kinda lost momentum.

I really liked Green Inferno but all my mates that watched it thought it was pretty crap.

yeah it was because it felt forced as shit. they coulda left it with the 1st one but no, the jews had to make another

Ah, you've found yourself a hunter...

They should make a spooky horror about jews :)

I dont know why. But i found this movie a bit boring.
Like it was just a huge build up to nothing.

philosophy of a knife
Man behind the Sun
A Serbian Film
NY Ripper

The Last Airbender

The acting was fucking awful for the most part. Interesting movie though. Check out Knock Knock from Eli Roth with Mr. Reeves.

that movie was trash honestly. I wanted the son to die--he was fucking annoying

knock knock was trash. Just soft core porn. It lacked any decent acting and any logic.

As above so below? Really? That was absolute shit.

That was a shit, pretentious, unscary movie. That wasn't horror, it was fucking drama.

That person overall gave shit movies to watch. Classic millennial view on what's "scary".

Alien

I liked it.
If these movies are so shit.
Then what are some good ones then?

That movie was all build up and no pay off, at all.

What was the name of the movie in the picture?

The Bye Bye Man

John Carpenter's The Thing, for one. Also I swear if someone here says It Follows was scary I will be so triggered.

Well, movies that (for me) had me thinking later on about them and had me paranoid some were:

August Underground Mordum
Slaughtered Vomit Dolls
Moebius (not really horror but shocking)
The Shining

I have more suggestions but not able to recall right off the bat.

>The Thing
youtube.com/watch?v=QAoONl2P8fw

the autopsy of jane doe, its a fuckin scary watch

Yeah, It Follows was fucking boring. People built it all up and I was completely let down. The Thing is amazing

Hm yea. Those ARE some good ones. Not scary though.
But i really like horror about ghosts. And i think its hard to find horrors like that, that are really scary.
And i think my list have some that are kinda spooky.

>The Green Inferno
It Follows scared the pants off me, man.

Idk, I have different tastes I suppose. Modern horror now is all cliche and jumpscares that don't shock me. I can always figure out the "twists" too. Forghost ones, I'd look into foreign horror films. Theyre good with that stuff.

It follows wasn't that scary just tense..although the idea of something slowly following you no matter where to u go does creep me out.

The thing is my fave

This

just go outside. reality's so fucked up now that horror fiction cant keep pace

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it already but lake mango is worth a watch

Lake Mungo you fuck.

One of the best films ever made.

you are a faggot

seriously, check this one. There's at least 3-4 scenes in it that i'd put among the scariest or most terrific ones ever.

holy fuck it was still going?

Shit was mint man great movie

anyone remember the movie about this kid thinking he's seeing a monster every night, then the dad makes some effigy to represent the monster to the child, burns it, and it comes to life from the dumpster

The babadook
The last shift
The strangers
The conjuring

Totaly forgot about Conjuring 2 (wtf?), probably best horror movie ive seen last year

this shit is good user,

vazy raconte, je kiffe la Normandie

l'histoire d'un monstre zombie nazi... trop de profondeur dans le sénario... blabla

DEMONS by Lamberto Bava

sadako chan is so kawaii desu

Hush

Sleepaway Camp.

Lobster man from Mars !

Kek

also you mom's sextape

Don't. Only the first Blair Witch was good. The second is like a shitty straight to DVD teen movie.

Sauce?

...

weekend at bernies

The Thing is a fantastic fucking movie

i also thought 1408 was pretty good

Sinister had the potential to be one of the best horror flicks of the decade but it shit the bed in the 3rd act so fucking bad.

Hardly call that a horror movie though.

The remake of The Thing (not the 2011 prequel, the older remake)

I didn't realize how popular The Thing was.
Okay new movie..
The Blob

this was a shit movie
>in b4 shaking the camera around like a autist is considered good nowadays

kill yourself

...

I know, it's not BIG deal... but I love it!

If you want a sequel in the same style as the blair witch project you're gonna have a bad time

interactions feel like acting, especially in the beginning. but I was such a fan of the first one I sat through it and the new one ended up being pretty frightening.

If you can get over the bad acting right at the beginning it really ends up being pretty good.

...

Only season one is okay

I fucking hate John Cusack and I don't know why. Something about his personality comes off in every role and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth

1408 really wasn't that scary. Ghosts just don't do it for me any more

The only part I remember is the guy furiously jacking off.

Green Inferno was a fucking joke user

If you're fucking thirteen and haven't ever watched a gritty horror movie scene in your life, maybe, maybe it's scary

But top notch? Fuck outta here amateur

This is such a good movie. The atmosphere. i love it!

Japanese 2001 movie?

i'm surprised nobody mentioned Jeepers Creepers. it was pretty good, and different from the usual horror flick.

yep I think so. ghosts, suicides, weird videos etc.

Session 9 is solid if you can sit through the slowness of it. The payoff is huge and worth the wait.

Fucking thank you. As Above So Below had such huge potential for a great psychological horror. Never seen a horror go straight up Disney before.

>the power was inside you all along!
