Watching legend of tarzan

>watching legend of tarzan
>audience is filled with normies catching pokemon instead of watching the film

When will this goddamn fad end and why aren't cinemas enforcing the no phones policy

>plebs playing a shitty interactive app instead of watching a shitty movie that isn't interactive

I swear, phones are the scourge of the modern era.

Now people don't have the attention span to watch 2-hour films in one sitting anymore.

Who /nophone/ here? I'm 25 years old and I've had absolute fuck all desire to have one, I'm fine with just communicating through email if people want to reach me but I see phones as basically nothing but sinkholes for money.

Internet and white Western women are the true scourges

I always hear Americans complain about people being on their phones in the theater. I'm European and I've never seen anybody do this. Even when I go to see something extremely popular like a superhero movie with friends there are never any people on their phones during the movie.

Is it really that bad in the US, or is it just a an exaggerated joke?

>fad
Haven't really discussed the latest "flappybird". This thing is going to become less relevant than Evolve.

i have a phone and a bare minimum plan for it to keep it on, i pay like $10 a month for it.

most use i get out of it is watching porn on it tbqh

Most people are multi screen now

i guess you dont have friends or a job
or do people call your mums phone when they need you?

Even a complete loser like me needs one. I basically need it for my mates in collage. They keep me up to date. Same with facebook. I don't like them but they're necessary.

What kind of pokemons would be in a cinema beside those jewnoses with dream powers?

Evolve was never relevant
This app is more like Uncharted games. Big hype at release and no one discuss about it few weks later

I have a 15 mile drive to work through scary dark country roads at night and a £150 car so yea I kinda need a phone

You're a good man, don't buy into it.

The sad thing is, the longer you have a phone, the harder it is to get rid of it. As you build your various accounts like banking, email and social networking and even career stuff around your phone it becomes a huge pain in the ass to get rid of it because you're basically inconveniencing yourself at that point. People will straight up think you've gone crazy for getting rid of your phone. The people of this generation who've had them since they were 13 are going to be fucked with that structure for the rest of their lives, and it's only going to get worse. It's pretty Orwellian if you really sit and think about how much phones control and identify us now.

I prefer reading a lot to owning a phone, usually before work a lot of people are either checking texts but I'm usually reading a book. I like it though since you actually gain some things from that, only problem is how do I make my book I'm reading most mornings to look more exciting than their phones? It's a good conversation starter anyway since they usually ask me what I'm reading.

The theater I go to is a Galaxy Luxury+ one up the road. Just before the trailers they come out and give a briefing to everyone. Stay the fuck off your phones or you will be kicked out. If you kid starts crying, get the fuck out or you will asked to leave.

Plus the leather reclining seats. I fucking my my theater.

It's not necessarily a bad thing though

>2006
Had to go to bank once a week to transfer money to mum for rent

>2016
Can transfer it in 5 seconds from the comfort of my toilet

Kindle

i have one so fast food chains can text me when my food is already made and waiting to be delivered, i havent found another use for the phone features yet

Hahaha Jesus Christ never change America

Mobile phones were a great thing that changed people's lives for the better. Smart phones were the ruination of this planet. Wish we could go back to pic related.

watched les vampires(6+ hours) in one sitting. also muted soundtrack.

>walk out
>go to customer support
>lodge complaint
>get refund on ticket
>leave theater

I got a smartphone but I don't even use any of the "smart" features, I don't even like browsing the internet on it

Should have just got a dumbphone

hey its a lonely life but at least it also comes in super size

Would things be better if there was an age restriction on mobile phones? For example, you wouldn't be able to own one which could access the internet aside from text messaging until you're of a certain age. I'm surprised that hasn't come into place already.

>me hiking on a trail
>see teen looking distraught with phone in hand
>thinking he's having GPS problems or something, I go offer my help
>he was trying to catch a fucking pokeman

I hang out with my old normie friends from high school like once every few months. I'm not completely oblivious to trends but I'm definitely not out and about seeing them every single day.
I find it bizarre how in a group setting it's perfectly socially acceptable to just whip out your phone at any time. I feel like I'm the only person still alive with an attention span.

>2016
>still watching movies at the theater

how the fuck do u catch zubat? i threw like 80 pokeballs at the mother fucker this morning. i must have looked like a psycho

>no phones policy
It would be a great day if that happens, but I doubt it.

>No phones policy
>No wifi policy
>No cameras allowed

It would be heaven.

Yeah I'm using pic related since I lost my HTC a few years ago. Can't be bothered to get another smartphone.

I also think it makes you quite antisocial in certain places in public.

How about going even further
>no popcorn
>no chips
>no sodas

>cp

>tfw everyone on Gotham uses the same $5 flip phone as you
