Anyone had a pilonidal cyst?

Anyone had a pilonidal cyst?

yeah loads of people have

old roommate had one, it burst and he went septic. he barely survived. hates talking about it to this day

Septic? What

I know a guy who just had one removed 2 weeks ago. He was gay if they adds insult to ingury.

it was very large, and after bursting the infection spread into his bloodstream

his feces spilled into his body cavity, causing septic shock.

How does this happen?

often starts with an ingrown hair

Shit. I guess I should get mine taken care of asap. I know it takes surgery which fucking sucks

Oh god, I remember mine. I didn't know what it was at first, so I put about a hundred different kind of ointments and creams on it, which by day three of it reaching a head had turned it into a constant feeling of having a hot nail in the meat of my ass.

depends on the size. sometimes it can just be lanced/expressed and the body takes care of the rest. complications like my friend's experience are rare

Jesus Christ, how degenerate does your lifestyle have to be that it gets to such a point?

They say lancing is the most painful part.

It happens to normal everyday people mang

I've had it bleed before.

Yeah had it surgically removed, it has to heal from the bottom up so you can imagine how fun it is to jam gauze into your surgery wound and then bandage it for a few months. Beats getting sepsis or having that fucker burst into your abdominal cavity. See a doctor if you have one.

so what is it? I don't feel like using google right now

A cyst at the top of your ass crack caused by excess pressure like sitting on your fat ass browsing /b all day. That's a pretty thin area of your back so if bad enough it can grow big enough to rupture into your abdominal cavity instead of outward.

This was my experience, got so painful I could barely walk. Went to the doc, lanced in about 5 min. Drained, no stitches, antibiotics, healed in a week

allgoodrangeroverallwood.jpg

I let mine go too long just assuming it would drain and heal, hence the surgery. If you have one go to the doc asap

Faggots get them because that's where to cum pools.

It would take years to spread up to the abdominal cavity and few people would endure this pain for so long.

Mine wasn't very painful until maybe 6 months or so, when it finally got to be excruciating I decided okay better get it checked

Had 2 surgeries cuz of one. Even had to carry a machine that sucked the pus out of the wound. They would put a sponge ibside the wound attached to it. Yes its as bad as it sounds.

Not true. Lazy ass beckbeards with bad posture, pretty exclusively.

Do they feel like a really deep zit at first? I think I had one but I dug it out with my thumb nail early on.. unless I just had a zit. Yeah that's a tender area.

>beckbeards

I have a story about this.

>my friend used to be a Sup Forums type
>he was like 15, he sat on his ass all day gaming
>I moved away
>sometime while I'm gone he gets an ingrown hair around where his anus is.
>develops into a cyst and starts leaking fluid
>after surgery and 2 weeks of a liquid diet he can finally sit again
>he decided not to be a fag anymore and now he's an athletic alpha, gets laid, makes money, goes to college
>three years later I move back
>and one day he casually tells me this story
>mfw I realized it was the anal cyst that changed his life

this isn't true at all dumbass

Why TF wouldn't you just go to the doctor or ER? The ER will take you without insurance or money.

I had one since I was 24. Finally got surgery for it at 30, last year. It's so great being able to sit down pain free.

This is what happens when you wipe front to back.

>yfw still accurate

I have one right now and idk what to do with it

lick it

Go to the doctor. This is not hard.

Kek

Its 98% true. A few unlucky bastards will get them no matter what, but the rest is poor a sitting posture coupled with poor diet. No one denies this.

What if you wipe short motion back and forth?

Get a referral from your doctor. Get prepped for surgery. Have it removed. Start long recovery process lasting 4 to 12 months.

trips aren't always right

recovery process depends on the procedure

Why does it take so long to heal? Don't they just cut it out and stitch it up? Is it because of the area, like it doesn't get enough air or something?

Youre supposed to wipe horizontally.

That's why I said 4 to 12 months. No matter what, you still have to take proper steps to keep the area clean so you don't end up back in surgery. Not to mention periodic checkups with the doctor.

>My ego resists admitting that I'm a neckbeard loser.

Yeah, I had one a few years ago. It started out as a tiny little bump near my tailbone. Didn't think anything of it. Some days it would be bigger and would hurt, some days it wasn't that noticeable. After a year or so, it started to be really painful every day, and eventually it ruptured and bled (just trickled). My gf was helping me clean it and noticed there were hairs sticking out, which came out very easily with tweezers. It seemed my cyst was caused by a nest of ingrown hairs. Some internet research confirmed what it was so I went to see my doctor who referred me to a specialist who got my surgery scheduled.

I asked to stay away for the surgery so they used local anesthetic and something that made me feel so great. They initially thought they'd have to leave the would open to heal from the inside out, but ended up determining they could stitch me up and it would still heal fine. Really lucked out there.

I was on T3s for a couple days after that. Supposed to be a full week but I didn't like the feeling and the pain wasn't that crazy after a couple days.

Never had to pay a cent! Oh Canada!

See In my case mone was healing too quickly. So the tissue in the wound had to be dissolved with sliver nitrate to prevent the area from tearing open on its own and getting infected for being too weak.

And you have to make sure you're properly rinsing the wound out every day, having someone pull any hairs out if you can't see it, etc.

I have one that comes and goes

And what percentage of your paycheck do you take home?

by "stay away" I meant "stay awake" of course.

> And what percentage of your paycheck do you take home?
I only make $35k, so I lose about 22% to income tax, employment insurance, and canada pension plan.

Fucking hell I'm not disciplined enough for all that. So it's basically an ingrown hair that went nuclear? I get ingrown hairs and it seems like they grown in a circle, like a perfect little circle where I'm trying to dig the fucker out and most of the time I don't succeed, so I guess it just keeps growing around that circle until one day it decided to come out and I tweeze a foot long hair out of my skin. Would be pretty satisfying and horrific.

I've got one right now, left it for about 8 months because I thought it would heal or something idk, got surgery and had to take 2 weeks off with this drainage tube coming out of my ass, not very nice, still got it rn but its healing up (I hope)

Nice trips

>never had to pay a cent
>gets raped in taxes
>never had to pay

Mfw

Well it's either wire yourself to be disciplined or deal with the pain. I was done dealing with the pain. I would recommend anyone dealing with this to take care of it. And stick with the necessary recovery procedure your doctor outlines for you.

>I was on T3s for a couple days after that. Supposed to be a full week but I didn't like the feeling and the pain wasn't that crazy after a couple days.
Got free surgery and everything aswell, still got my T3's don't know what to do with them

We really don't mind paying our taxes up here. it beats dying from infection or going bankrupt.

i had one that had to be surgicaly removed. took an entire year to heal. i've had several reoccurences since, but have stoped them in their tracks the moment i notice them- they start off as a large itchy bump, with a head in the middle, like a pimple. all you need to do (at this point) is take a razor blade, slice into the head untill puss starts comming out, then squeeze the lump untill all of the puss is drained out. ofcourse, use all apropriate staerilastions for the blade, your hands, and the effected part of the body, and put some pollysporin on it after wards. if you think this sounds dumb, its exactly what the doctors will do if you go to them about it- except they'll use a surgical lance instead of a razor blade.

Had surgery to drain mine a month ago, it started swelling under my skin and felt rock hard. Just went to the Docs and they sent me straight to surgery.

On the outside it looks like a freckle at the top of my crack, but god did it fucking hurt. Still haven't healed completely due to it being in a place where it's hard to heal, may need more surgery if it doesn't heal right D: Atleast I'm not having my wound treated everyday and medical shit shoved in there anymore god damn.

Apart from that doing well, always go and check with the Docs if you feel pains. Surgery is nothing to worry about, really worth having done.

keep your ass crack shaved and clean and it wont happen

I had one that lasted like 2 weeks. Couldn't sit down and it was excruciating when it made itself known. Went to the doctors once. he said if it got worse then there would be surgery, gave me some antibiotics. I went home. one day in the shower I was poking it and it started to leak something fierce, so I just pushed hard and it burst. Cleaned it up well and it sealed up. 2 weeks o pain, 2 days o heals.

Crossing my fingers for you. Keep checking on it since it might just be slowly building up over time again.

It was like 6 years ago.
diehard faggot
I have it right now, doesn't bother me at all.

yeah it was fucking gross, I thought it was cool for a while because it was a little hole until I stuck a needle in it and the needle went probably an inch and half and still hadn't touched the bottom and pulled it out and had a panic attack.

pics of gf's tits?
