It was a joke. It's pretty good though. Not innovative but very well done for a debut.

I honestly really like it, not sure why people keep saying it'd bad. My only real complaint is that all the songs sound kinda the same.
Is is inherent to emo that the singer sounds like a bit of a faggot? (If you catch my drift) Instrumentals are pretty goat and so is song writing but do these guys all sound this way?
these ones are nice
emo kids are a mutated strain of scene kids, the next evolutionary step. Bathed in the acid pools of Urban Outfitters. Only living to steal from others, pretending to have to mental illnesses that they don't have and listening to shitty music. May god kill them all
Any music like this?

yeah, naturally the foundation will bear your expenses!
Nah a lot of 80s and 90s emo is more like post-hardcore and has punk-style vocals
>seattle
>midwest
Miles
dogs is the greatest emo song of all time
I LIKE DOGS MUCH BETTER
THE PROMISE RING.
This is one of my all-time favorites. Not necessarily for the lyrics, but it's just so beautiful. Loving that slight post rock vibe
Cap'n Jazz and American Football is the only good thing to come out of that Joan of Arc group.
only just realised the artist and title is on the cover
>nobody has posted the greatest midwest emo album of all time
Sure is underage in here
>Sure is underage in here
>people have posted older albums than this
Really made me think
not really related
but it rlly makes me think when people don't consider pinkerton emo
Also essential pun-core
It doesn't have to be from the midwest to have the sound. It developed in the midwest, but you could even make some yourself. Genre isn't based on location, really.
Correct. For instance, Chinese Football is an emo band based in China, and they can most accurately described as midwest emo.
>tfw I want to like that song but I hate dogs
also, is it even actually emo?
hey bkb how was sleeping in the closet
I'll post a band I wish more people knew: Lions
Great, mathy-but-melodic midwest style emo from Tennessee

It doesn't sound like emo. It's power pop with whiny vocals.
great. i have a walk in closet, so i closed the door and turned on my fan and i couldn't hear any of that the thunder. my roommate told me that last night the lightning strikes were violently shaking his bed though. sucks to be him.
anyway back on topic, why is thursday the second best emo band behind nouns?

They are great but not really midwest style emo, so I don't know if it fits in the thread.

Agreed, but SDRE doesn't sound like midwest emo.
They're VERY good, but they definitely sound closer to other Seattle bands.

Not really midwest in the literal sense, but still
My top 5 easily, 'Angry Son' is perfect
