Total Recall

This is pretty underrated kino, especially the extended directors cut. Makes the film about 30 minutes longer but it's worthwhile and not bloated like BvS.

If this went by any other name it would be gobbled up, especially in a world where LIVEDIEREPEAT and Blomkamp flicks get so much praise.

It's a modern sci-fi/action/thriller done right, and you plebs couldn't get over your autism.

It was a shitty adaptation of the original story and had to compete with being in the shadow of one of the best action movies of all time. It was shit. You're not special or unique for liking it. You're just retarded.

It was a pretty shitty remake but the world building was great even if it did take a little too much from Blade Runner.

>It was a shitty adaptation of the original story
It's a remake of Total Recall. It's even further from the short story than that movie

I really liked it too but people here seem too focused on the original to discuss it, despite the fact they went out of their way to make a different story to keep fans interested.

I always thought it was more like The Quaid Identity than Total Recall.

>Beckinsale
>Biel
>That woman with the three tits
>Cranston
>Beautiful sci-fi setting

I'm 100% sure you didn't even see the theatrical cut. 90's Total Recall was an adaptation itself, and the 2012 version is closer to the source material. C U C K

I agree. A very underrated film. Love the soundtrack, acting and CGI doesn't look outdated as some CGI of other movies look.

Please tell me he signs up for the Beckinsale-Biel-eternal-threesome simulation.

I love how the ending of this one doesn't give it away whether he is dreaming or still awake. It makes you choose if you think he is or not

They probably should've given it a different title, but even if they did, it still would be a forgettable action flick though.

How do you rate the Robocop remake? I give it a 6.5/10.

It wasn't as bad as others said it was - again constantly comparing it to the original when just like this Total Recall remake - they are 2 different movies altogether.

Better than Robocop 3

I never saw that. Why does it get so much hate?

It's just super low budget, but it's pretty fun. He flys in it.

Meh, it was a solid 6/10 action movie, nothing more.

80s Total Recall was not "realistic", but the ideas were better explored.

Total Recall 2070 was low budget, but it made the PKD world more unified and more gritty and realistic.

The more recent series Almost Human was very similar to TR2070. It was great and got cancelled too, just like 2070.

I kinda liked it, but yea I think 6.5 is a fair rating.
Definitely wasn't something worth seeing twice, but if I paid money to see it I wouldn't have felt gipped.

I enjoyed it because of based Nancy, but I tough the tv series was better than 3. I'm in the minority on this one.

Patrician choice.

I can't fathom how strongly gay someone needs to be to not enjoy this movie.

Watch the Extended Directors cut of the 2012 version. It wholly improves the movie by leaps and bounds; it's like the studios WANT to release trash theatrical flicks. Important plot points, good scenes and more exploration of the characters were removed, but they make for an almost completely different film.

Watch it bro.

There's not even any memorable action in this supposed action movie. I think I fell asleep in the theater when I saw it. Biel is terrible, too, and Beckinsale (while a better actress than Biel) was not nearly as convincing as Stone was as a villain. All around it's just entirely forgettable and completely generic/by-the-numbers.

literal fucking perfection

*sigh* I guess I'll have to watch it again. I hope you're not trolling.

No troll.

Legit overlooked kino.

pure cinema

I can confirm: the Director's Cut is amazing

visually the film was fucking incredible, but i'm biased to all things cyberpunk

...

The Art and visuals were 10/10

Quintessential sci-fi kino

>OG Total Recall
> one of the best action movies of all time

Jesus christ, listen to yourself. Even Verhoeven considers it one of the lower points of his career.

>mfw I realize Biel and Beckinsale were in the same movie together

My Dick..

It was fine. Not great, but fine. I think it seems worse than it is because the original was so perfect. The remake is less strong thematically, I can't really discern what story it was trying to tell, but I wouldn't be averse to watching it again.

>the ideas were better explored.

What ideas?

How the Biel content?

Its like they avoided showing biel butt on purpose.

She looks A CUTE SQUEE when she is passed out. Would touch her butt and steal a kiss

>angry Kate will never step on my balls

;_______; why even go on living brehs

>the 2012 version is closer to the source material.
No it really isn't.

I would have liked it more if it was its own film and not a Robocop reboot.
