Frey plotline died with Walder. There's no point killing him if they'd just be fighting freys again. Without the freys there's no enemy in the riverlands. The lannisters are south in KL and I doubt they're going to bring Jaime up again when he just arrived in the south.

Arya has nobody left to kill except Cersei, thus she and the BwB will wander about killing random nobodies in pointless unrelated scenes, as she makes her way (taking all season to do it) to Kingslanding in an attempt to kill Cersei (who will be killed by Jaime in the end).

Seems pointless when the character herself could just go back to her family. Remember Jon has little to do aside from fighting Sansa and Littlefinger's scheming. Arya there could give birth to another plotline, or even continue the Azor Ahai plotline if she encounters Melissandre in the way.
