I wouldn't necessarily call it the best or anything, or recommend it as anything new or exciting to seasoned listeners of the genre, but it's been a nice pillow for 9 years.

LYSF

Laughing Stock

Boris - Flood
That's post-rock, right?

It's hard to pick, but I think I'd have to go with Departure Songs

Requiem for Hell was pretty good.

Love Laughing Stock

I'd say yes, but it's a bit of a stretch.

Great album, got me started on the genre

That crescendo-core one.

Third wave Post-Rock suc-

dis

Hymn To The Immortal Wind

...

This without a doubt

Tarentel - From Bone to Satellite

There are lots of contenders, but Tarentel just consistently nails otherworldly moods and atmospheres and this is their most accomplished album.

As soon as I finish with departure songs I'm going to listen to this. So far DS has been fantastic

for what little I know and heard, Departure Songs is in my top 3

Great taste, user

Tunnel blanket
upgrade and afterlife

what burns never returns (could be considered math rock too)
mirrored and gloss drop
i just cant choose favorites

I listen to swans and sun kil moon only pretty much and I'm listening to Requiem For Hell right now.

I've heard GSY!BE stuff before, what should I check out next?

Also, any good bands from the Boston area?

dang, this is good.

that was pretty damn nice

>I've heard GSY!BE stuff before
How much GY!BE have you heard? This is kind of an important question, because Godspeed is kind of a staple of the genre.

Can someone recommend me some Post-Rock bands like MONO?

Silent Whale Becomes a Dream

We Lost the Sea, totally

God, what a great album that is. I just finished listening to it. Love the samples they use, the sound they bring, and then fucking Swan Song...God it's so beautiful.

Great recommendation dude, thanks

That's some great stuff right here.

Favorite is Skinny Fists (I doubt anything will beat the first listen though)
But much of this chart is good and flowing around it is pretty nice.
