The first Biosphere album I was hooked on was Cirque. This is the pinnacle of the "arctic ambient" sound. Winter has passed, and this record is ideal in cold weather-- nonetheless, still great

How about you?

i prefer his space ambient/ambient techno desu
not a lot of people know about this release either, worth checking out for this track alone

Here is Geir's awesome chronicle from when he climbed a tall mountain

I fucking love Dropsonde, I feel ike it's often overlooked compared to his other work.

Yeah that's a great one. Thanks for sharing

I love that record too. Favorite tracks: In Triple Time, Arafura, and Sherbrooke

Great album user.

My favourite is N-Plants. Extremely underrated.

A peek at Geir's studio (from BBC)

>ywn make field recordings with Gier Jenssen

It hurts a little bit desu

Another photo claiming to be his studio

There is the OSCar again

>There will be no more Biosphere concerts in 2008.
>I am tired of flying. I hate airports, security checks, unhealthy food, air conditioning, hotels, etc.
>Back to nature!

>ywn make field recordings with Wolfgang Voigt while tripping on acid
Hold me

>tfw no arctic 90s rave with biosphere

I can still dream user

Can't believe he's making another album after 17 fucking years, but part of me is afraid it might be a cash grab after seeing his BOX compilation's success

>Cirque

my favorite ambient album of all time

This was absolutely fascinating to read. I've always loved Mountaineering, and wished I could do it seriously. I must listen to that field recording album.

Thanks for sharing.

Awesome subs. Every track (except 3) is superb.
