Prob not, sounds more like a aphthous ulcer (canker sore). Herpes can be in those places, but canker sores are way more common. Google it and check pics. If is a canker sore, they're not contagious.

Took the MCAT, good a 31, easily could have gotten into a mid-tier med school. Ultimately there was too much uncertainty. I didn't want to be a family prac doc (their lives suck), and the things I would have wanted to do (Derm) are super competitive and I wasn't confident that I could get into a derm residency. Dental was a shorter, less stress, guaranteed decent outcome route. I also don't have to worry about killing patients (99% of the time).

I use to have braces but I never got them professionally removed, all the brace parts are off now (did it myself) but the ones on the molars are still there. Will a dentist remove them cheaply without giving me much hassle? My teeth look good now.
Amalgam still has a place, the mercury "Issue" is largely BS. Amalgam is great if you can't keep the tooth totally dry during the filling (white fillings suck if they get wet before setting).
Could be a stain, could be a cavity. Some cavities never get sensitive, so that's not a good indicator. I would get a exam/cleaning.

I say was because last week the sensation has now gone to the right side of my mouth.
Its kind of like a dull pain when I swallow. I don't think it's my tonsils as they're not inflamed and don't hurt to touch, so I believe it is behind them perhaps in my sinuses which is why you might not be able to help but if you can give any insight I would be grateful.

i had a root canal around 5 years ago. back lower molar. everything was fine, but one day the crown popped off. didn't have money to have it put back, so i was just living with the post and the filling material around it. sometime a few months ago, that also deteriorated and there is a big open hole now. it's been steadily crumbling, but there is no pain, surprisingly. i'm assuming the fake spongey pink stuff vein material is still providing blood to the tooth. it is most likely trashed beyond repair, and i surely will not have money to fix it. how long would you say an exposed old root canal can go before it becomes infected? or worse? i've read varying stories from abcesses to blood poisoning, but it's been doing just fine, although being very ugly, for a long time. is there any real way to save it? or is it 100% gotta be extracted? i'd hate to lose the money i dumped into this tooth to have it yanked anyway.

Use listerine and act, buy a power brush, floss for real, and brush 2x/day+ and you'll be fine.
The teeth will shift into the space made by the missing tooth, then you'll need braces to make space for the implant. A lot of trouble. Could also wear a retainer in the mean time. Easier to just get the implant. The bone will also receed over time if you don't take care of it.
