Ed Sheeran Live

Name one artist who does this well live. Ed's live performances are in fact better than the studio version.

I'll be waiting over here.

Wrong. Who's next?

King Crimson

>muh loop pedal

>You can fit me
>Inside the necklace you got when you were sixteen
>Next to your heartbeat where I should be
>Keep it deep within your soul

>And if you hurt me
>Well, that's okay baby, only words bleed
>Inside these pages you just hold me
>And I won't ever let you go

>When I'm away, I will remember how you kissed me
>Under the lamppost back on Sixth street
>Hearing you whisper through the phone,
>"Wait for me to come home."

Man. That lyrics is just simply beautiful. Thank god I'm alive to hear this.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

Radiohead, Muse, LCD Soundsystem are all great live.

Aaron Lewis of Staind.
Chad Kroeger of Nickelback.

This is one of my favorite performances by Muse

Their early shows are awesome, so much energy

this, there's a reason people followed the grateful dead around

Well it's literally impossible for anything to be worst then his studio albums so I believe it.

>Ed's live performances are in fact better than the studio version.
Have you ever heard of jam bands? Like the Grateful Dead or Phish? That's literally what they do. They use the album as a way to say, "this song exists," and they then blow your mind with the song in concert.

To be honest, I actually was surprised by how good he was live (one of his live shows was playing on the radio when I was driving one time). Most pop artists are pretty shit in live performances. Even if he writes insipid pop, at least he's more deserving of his fame imo

>there's a reason people followed the grateful dead around

And that reason is they sold incredible acid at their shows back when that was pretty much the only place you could find acid.

The same is true for Steely Dan. Extremely talented individuals who decided to write insipid pop. A perfect example of wasted talent.

albums/artists that are better live than in studio:
in rainbows (from the basement)
king of limbs (ditto)
anything by city and color
anything by gy!be
starfucker
aesop rock

thats just of what i've seen

>never seen a video of him playing live
>dicking around with loop pedals and an acoustic
>tfw thats exactly what i wanted to do when i start performing live
well fuck me

>Ed Sheeran
Slit your throat.

not that hard to be consistent when you use the same boring melodic ideas over and over

as far as great live singing goes, Bobby McFerrin's genius is underrated. this shit was improvised youtube.com/watch?v=SAOMop30Hro

and no loop pedal needed for him to create a whole tune, bass line and all just with his voice

this
I was just listening to Absent Lovers. It´s a masterpiece
