>he likes thunderball
He likes thunderball
>He likes thunder man
>he thinks diamonds are forever is sean's best
>he likes any of the Daniel Craig movies
How can you possibly take Thunderball seriously with a scene like this:
>he doesn't record his own damn shit
Never Say Never Again did it better
that looks much gayer than i remember it.
>bond and count lippe play harmless tricks on each other
wish the whole film was like this
>His favourite Bond film isn't FRWL or The Living Daylights
>i had a hat when i came in
it has the GOAT bond theme though, and a qt jap waifu
oh shit i got mixed up with you only live twice
diamonds are forever is 'OK' except for the dumbass cartoony henchmen
>goldfinger isnt the best bondkino
cor blimey m8
Definitely the best song.
GOOOLDFIIIINGER
HE'S THE MAN
THE MAN WITH A HEART OF GOLD
THAT HEART IS COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD
How has that shot of Bond looking like he's being assfucked not yet been turned into a webm of Bond being assfucked?
>brass instruments three times louder than everything else
>best
Elektra King was a qt
The Brosnan bonds had the dumbest fucking plots in the universe
Thunderball is pretty good actually, if a bit languid and bloated. It has some of the best Bond girls too
yeah TWINE was probably one of the all around weakest
mega qts though
What's wrong with Thunderball?
I thought it was ok
>he thinks Sean Connery is a good actor
I disagree, I think it's one of the best films in the series. Elektra is both a great Bond girl and an interesting and unique villain. The action setpieces are great, Brosnan's performance is phenomenal and more Valentin Zukovsky is never a bad thing. So underrated it's a crime
>constant jump-cuts make it look cheap despite its huge budget
>more characters than necessary, only a few of them matter at all
>stuff that belongs in die another day like bond screwing underwater and the rehab center next door to the air force base
>underwater shots
most of these flaws apply to most of the old bond movies, but i think anything bad you could say about the old bond movies applies even more to thunderball. generally it's simply a step down from goldfinger
>thunderball
>not Never Say Never Again
youtube.com
Yes, an unofficial bond movie made in the early 80's by people who mad the Indiana Jones trilogy staring Sean Connery as an out of shape agent who's on the verge of retirement and regarded as a past it relic, with MI6 being an underfunded organization with gadgets that don't work half the time.
it's AMAZING
you talk about it as if we don't all know about it already
>>underwater shots
they literally invented modern underwater filming on set to make that movie
Also, best intro song, and one of the best Bond films clearly
youtube.com
I think you are forgetting that thunderball was made in the 60's
Yeah by modern standards it's cheesy, but they basically pioneered underwater filming
Aside from a few really funny parts that may or may not have been intentional, NSNA is horrible. It's like what you would get if The Cannon Group made a Bond movie
i don't fucking care what they invented dude. they absolutely ruined the climax of the movie with underwater filming so i don't care whether or not it was a demonstration
>>he likes any of the Daniel Craig movies
Casino Royale was OK, but just not fun enough, a great movie but just an ok bond movie. the intro credits were fantastic though
Quantum of Solace was what the fuck were they thinking tier, i mean the henchman was dispatched by a woman casually pushing down a short flight of stairs, it was terrible from a story perspective and none of the villains felt threatening in the least
Skyfall was good. legit good. LET THE PIEFALL
Spectre was a missed opportunity, it had all the issues QoS had with a muddy plot, confusing action scenes that didn't fit and weren't fun enough to "just be there for fun" and they really need to just have some fun villains instead of the boring fan fiction shit they had in that one.
>It's like what you would get if The Cannon Group made a Bond movie
That would be the greatest film ever made
nothing wrong liking great movies
I'll elaborate, it's like what you would get if The Cannon Group made a Bond movie and wasn't allowed to deviate from the formula or put in any nudity or blood
That's like making a Nicolas cage movie and not letting him eat the scenery
or a wood allen film and not letting him rape little girls on set
or a lena dunham film and not letting her rape little girls on set
this post was worthy of the dubs
Thunderball started good but went to fucking shit.
They're fighting like 15 minutes under water, then they're in that super fast boat (super fast = fast forward scenes) and the film ends abruptly 30 seconds after the boat explodes.
>Good
Goldfinger > You Only Live Twice > Dr. No
>Okay
From Russia With Love => Diamonds are Forever
>Shit
Thunderball >>> Never Say Never Again
holy fuck TWINE is so fucking good
I must have been confusing it in my head with another one. Just watched it and suddenly remembered how much I loved that helicopter fight back in the day
great villains, great henchmen, great mystery, great pacing and tension, dynamite women
my nigga
it's better than GoldenEye
Golden eye had a great plot, but
Tommorrow Never Dies had better stunt scenes and much better actors.
>how the fuck are we supposed to shoot this scene
What's worse, the underwater fight scene in Thunderball or that fucking boat chase scene in Live and Let Die
the boat chase wasn't THAT shit imo, it just went for too long.
the sheriff was shit too, but only because went for too long too[/spoiler], it should have been only 15 seconds.
>he thinks daniel craig ever starred in a james bond film
>Watched Thunderball for the first time lart week
>Oh cool an underwater final all out brawl! That's such an original idea, I've never seen it before, why aren't they doing this anymore?
>Realize why after sitting through most boring and unegaging climax in my entire life
I really liked YOLT though after that. Dunno why people hate YOLT so much more than Thunderball
At first I thought the entire movie WAS gonna be this
Why is Bond such culutural ico for everyone again? In all his movies he getd BTFO and screams for help and only wins by luck
YOLT is one of the disputed films in the series, some consider it one of the best while others think it's one of the worst.
It's actually my favorite Bond film by far. Any flaws it has are overshadowed by 10/10 directing, music, locations, set design and just being immensely entertaining.
He was near unstoppable in Dr. No
Aside grom Goldfinger, what is Sean Connery's best?
Also why does nobody ever talk about the Roger Moore films?
Dr No was also a villain who couldn't move his hands
from russia with love definitely. yolt after that
I really didn't like From Russia with Love and don't even remember most of it although I saw it recently. What makes it so good?
Moore films, while having a lot of the Bond silliness that's been parodied over the years, I find too goofy to really enjoy.
>he likes bond films
grow the h*ck up
It gets a lot of praise because it's Bond in a Hitchockian spy thriller. It's really good but overrated IMO
i guess it was the movie which said to the books, "we'll do our own thing from now one but here have this to remember me by"
>being an adult means you can no longer love escapist entertainment
user pls
Actually Licence to Kill is the best one.
>just turn your brain off! haha!
who are you quoting?
y-you
Top 5 for sure
Also Pam is best girl
It's kind of like caring what kind of car you drive.
Some people think it matters, and are into cars, which I think is kind of childish while other people enjoy James Bond movies.
senor user you got big cojones
+1
>why does nobody ever talk about the Roger Moore films
Of all the actors who played Bond, Moore phones it in the most. Also, his films are, as mentioned elsewhere, so silly and unbelievable (even for Bond films, which are usually pretty unbelievable) to be enjoyable. They're just trying of one's patience and suspension of disbelief.
The movie hyped me the fuck up when they called in all 9 00 agents. And then it went to shit.
When does Bond fuck Moneypenny already
You have 10 seconds to name a better bond than Neil Connery
every post in this thread was written by me: calvin dyson
>not knowing you only live twice to be the best bond film
You Only Live Twice.
Hating Moore is just a meme; he made some of the best Bond films.
for me, James Bond movies make me forget about my troubles and get lost in another world like no other. They are infinitely rewatchable and it's also fun to compare and contrast them. They are also an interesting window into their respective eras and how styles, movie-making techniques and the zeitgeist have changed since the sixties, all within the context of a single franchise.
Fuck I love these movies. As for cars, meh, I can appreciate a beautiful automobile but that's about it
>It's silly and campy so I can't immerse myself
I pity people like you
I will never not love his videos, would watch and discuss Bond movies with him/10
quantum of solace best daily bond
i meant weekly bond, frick
*bourne
Haven't seen that one, will check it out.
do you even know what i'm talking about
Silly and campy are fine, but the Moore films couldn't hit the tone; it was as if they still wanted to be taken seriously.
I think you're right on the money with some of his his films.
However, The Spy Who Loved Me was no cheesier than some of the Connery films and Moonraker went full self-parody, and I mean that in the best way possible. So much fun
Then you have For Your Eyes Only which is played rather straight except for that one scene in the rink. All-in-all the three movies he made in the middle of his stint as Bond are really good, the others I agree have uneven tones
It's alright. You Only Live Twice is worse.
Jesus son, kill yourself. Literally baiting or no taste.
>implying You Only Live Twice isn't the GOAT Bond movie
fight me faggot
They put Moore in space and dressed him up like a clown, sure, but I never understood why people consider him so much more campy than a lot of what Connery and Brosnan did.
Bond was always campy, and even the Lazenby and Dalton movies - that are thought of as more serious - have their fair share of camp.
what would you have thought if george lazenby first played bond in this film? would he have out-performed connery who hated bond at that point?
Not really. Bond had always humor but Moore films are the only ones that can actually be considered camp.
I think it's his performance, he has this wink-and-nod vibe that makes you take everything he does less seriously. Doesn't help that he has the most obvious stunt doubles and that in the eighties he looked downright decrepit.
That said I agree for the most part, and I really do think Moonraker gets a bad rap. Literally one of the top 5 best Bond films
Brosnan > Connery > Craig > Moore > Dalton > Lazemby
WHEN DOES BOND FUCK MONEYPENNY
>sometimes you need to smack a bitch
>Craig better than Dalton
haha, no
Your mom liked my thunderball
Good movies, not so good performance.
Fuck off. Bond films are simply entertainment, not to be taken too seriously.
From Russia With Love.
The very reason why a lot of people love Roger Moore Bonds is the fact those are campy and over the top.
>craig
>even making the list
>contrarian babby
