I really have been getting into their films lately and am wondering what you lads can recommend to a koreaboo like myself.
Recently I watched The Accidental Detective (탐정: 더 비기닝) pic related and it was hilarious and bad ass at the same time.
I've also seen 살인의 추억 (Memories Of Murder), 아저씨 (The Man from Nowhere), and Old Boy.
Anyways, I enjoy Korean comedy and action so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated !

I Saw the Devil (2010) is a great thriller/horror
The Wailing (2016). I had to watch it twice. This one needs its own thread, but I don't think enough people have seen it yet.
Lucas Thomas
The Wailing has been getting meme'd lately.
I have a bunch of korkinos downloaded I'll watch them when I'm comfy enough.
Jonathan Myers
DUDE REVENGE LMAO

Matthew Ross
Thank you guys. This is great!
Tyler Brooks
>Drug war That's chinese.
Still kino
Elijah Flores
I legitimately think that Bong Joon Ho is one of the greatest filmmakers alive.
Kayden James
If you liked Oldboy you might also like Sympathy For Mr Vengeance and Sympathy For Lady Vengeance. They are part of the Oldboy "trilogy" in the sense that they are not connected at all but similar and from the same director, actors, etc.
Caleb Phillips
>first koreakino i watched was memories of murder >haven't found anything too surpass it yet
Please help
Bentley Evans
>tfw netflix keeps taking off all the best jap movies and gook movies/shows

Newfag here, what do people think of A Bittersweet Life?
Juan Baker
I Saw The Devil is pleb-tier.
The Wailing was a mess, what was even happening in that film?
There's no reason to care about the characters, no depth to any of it. The old guy is obviously the bad guy through the entire movie and then in the climax they pretend it isn't obvious he is the bad guy, and that he might be good and some girl might the bad guy instead? What?
Carson Lewis
it has mostly favorable reviews according to the internet
Xavier Richardson
Chaser is better chink-kino.
Camden Gonzalez
If you like romance, try My Sassy Girl (comedy), 3-Iron (drama) or A Moment to Remember (bitchtears-kino).
Aiden Brooks
I watched chaser, didn't like it that much
Nicholas Peterson
I watched like 7 korean films and non of them was as good. I really liked Oldboy but it's just pleb tier in comparison.
Landon Carter
...
David Campbell
Reversed for me, to be frank my relative
Justin Lopez
>My Sassy Girl
How sassy are we talking about here?
Jackson Powell
There is none. Everything else is just revenge flicks.
Try The Good, The Bad, The Weird tho.
Jaxon Brooks
Mother The Chaser New World
Owen Jenkins
>The Wailing was a mess, what was even happening in that film? Pleb spotted. The Wailing is 1/3 crime, 1/3 drama and 1/3 supernatural religious horror.
Brandon Harris
Not afro-american woman tier.
Justin Reed
Why do they have such a boner for revenge?
Is it because they are all repressed robots dreaming about killing their teachers and boss?
Wyatt White
It's a great film. Definitely watch it.
Thank you. I will. I actually just watched Like for Likes because I'm a faggot like that.
Anyother Romance / Comedies or straight Comedies that you guys can recommend?

I don't remember what it was called, but it was about two brothers fighting in the Korean war for the south, and end up fighting on different sides.

I'm surprised Mother isn't more popular, honestly. I thought it was better than a lot of the Korean movies that people like to bring up.
Also Thirst, but I guess that one's kind of weird in comparison to a lot of other ones.
Brayden Myers
Dogblu is faggots
Jack Williams
Anyone have any personal thoughts on pic related? I recently picked it up for based Choi Min-Sik, but haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

Camden Taylor
it's honestly very cheesy with some dodgy cgi but based Choi is charismatic as fuck and makes the film watchable
Nathan Mitchell
Unfortunate. Yi Sun-Shin was a boss and deserves better, but at least I can look forward to Choi doing his thing.
Joshua Perez
Are there any other Korean films like New World?
