I've been into the I.L.Y's since the first album.
They're the only "rock" band I really like from the current decade.
Scum with Boundaries is a really unique sounding album and these tracks are amazing.
Can't wait to hear more from the only original modern music artist I know.

I listen to a lot of music, but most of the things I enjoy are old.
As a by product of knowing a thing or two about music, I know most modern music is crap. At least that's what I can surmise from experience.
Zach Hill is the only guy I can think of who makes his own sounds instead of just being a copy cat.

the i.l.y's sound so fresh and uplifting but strange at times, it's like satiric but satisfying and even danceable
like what vampire weekend was doing in its early days, before they went sad balls and over done
Every Zach Hill project outside of DG is so hit-or-miss in terms of visual aesthetic. Yeah yeah you can say that for DG as well and I'm sure someone will feel compelled to but at least DG has never done retarded shit like half-assed homages to Bunuel films or whatever the fuck the Green Bricks video is looking like a discount Tim & Eric sketch.
