Drone and drone metal is lazy, garbage music made by talentless hacks.

NOPE, he is way more interesting and talented then cole

if i wanted to listen to boom bap i'd listen to the album it's ripping off

also jay z can put those dick sucking lips to good use at umg so at least he found his calling his life through all the sociopathic devil shit

Fuck this thread

NMH is dull.
Once you understand the "point" of Death Grips, the music loses its appeal.
David Bowie had a handful of good tracks at best.

try listening to The tired sounds of stars of the lid, if you dont like that it may not be for you

agreed all 3
mine are

99 percent of music is garbage

there really has been a decline in music past 2010

m b v is better than loveless

the campfire headphase is the best b o c

burial is the greatest producer of all time

zomby is actually good most of the time

Come My Fanatics is one of EW's weaker albums

"boom bap"

There is literally only 1 boom bap song on here user

There are and only will be 3 good grime songs ever, the whole genre is trash.

Trap is irredeemably terrible.

try this user

Kinda bad

Stars of the Lid was actually pretty good. Boris, Earth, Sun, ect is still some of the laziest, dullest music I've ever listened to.

Can't tell if this is an insult or praise

His previous work is great but I definitely agree that his new album is J. Cole tier.

Fugazi fucking suck, I spent way too much time listening to their albums trying to get it before I gave up.

>Once you understand the "point" of Death Grips
lmfao and what would that be? can't wait to hear this

I agree, both are boring as fuck and percieved to be better than they are.

J. Cole is just a modern Common.

Storytelling in hip-hop is almost always shit.

Kendrick Lamar is pretentious and his lyrics aren't great or profound, he's just really skilled technically.
I hate the dumbass "We Wuz Kangz" meme, but it describes Kendrick perfectly, he's the type of person that would think Beethoven was actually black because he read it in an Instagram post.

Fucking wrong

go to bed, jake.

Really it is in all music, it's rare to find an artist that has both a narrative voice and a strong sound.

1 2 3 4 5

I almost wrote "storytelling in music", but wasn't sure if I should go that far.

Everybody in the car, so come on let's ride

Death grips is fucking awful

other than slick rick i agree

Jay Z is garbage, 90s rap is generally terrible because of the production and simplistic lyrics.

But muh streets-

this x909021

Ariana Grande is the greatest thing to happen to Pop since Lady Gaga.

Outkast were around the same time as Biggie and Tupac and made music that was more interesting and holds up better.

listen to Killuminati pt.2 and tell that to me again
Joey Bada$$ is more talented lyrically and flow-wise

the new phil elvrum album was the worst album i've ever heard

Beatles, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin have never made a good album

wow what a brave and unpopular opinion to have on this board
>did i just the bait?

I completely agree with this

I can understand why that opinion is unpopular, it's contrarian as fuck

No it's not.

Most stoner/desert/doom music aside from Fu Manchu, Kyuss and other sporadic instances is utterly unlistenable.
Dopethrone is bad, not even close to a great album.
Black Sabbath were the most important band in early seventies, arguably.
Led Zeppelin are dad rock, although very good at that.
Beastie Boys are the only white hip hop/rap rock band worth listening to.
Music critics (actual ones) are filthy frustrated fucks.
Making influential "pop" music is harder than simply going 'lol randum experimentation".
Swans are really good and creative, no matter what you think; To Be Kind is very accessible if you have some spare time, give it a spin if you think otherwise.
QOTSA is one of the few remnants of very good rock musicIan, a real blessing for this age.
Samples make or break a song.
We're all pretentious hypocrites.
Most mu-core appeals only to mu/hipster demographic.

>he hasn't heard Abbey Road

>Beastie Boys are the only white hip hop/rap rock band worth listening to.
>Making influential "pop" music is harder than simply going 'lol randum experimentation".

True, only because Tupac is overrated and Biggie is utter shit

You go between being completely ignorant to completely obvious over and over

Hip-hop used to it's fullest extent has more meaning and complexity than any other genre.

Obvious maybe not to everyone.
Ignorant, not so much.

You have a sub 100 IQ, and this is likely a very popular opinion amongst those that have the displeasure of knowing you personally

Pop music is underrated.

Rap has peaked with this album

How can you excuse something like this? It's just low effort. If you can argue why this is good other than "DUDE SO HEAVY LMAO" I'll be impressed.

it's mediocre

Absolutego is the only drone metal album done right.
Sun and Earthfags can eat a dick

I don't understand the appeal of Outkast.
Just sounds like watered down southern hip-hop.
