Why aren't there more movie posters with drawn artwork like this anymore?

Why aren't there more movie posters with drawn artwork like this anymore?

Which movie has the best hand drawn poster art in this style?

>introducing Christie Brinkley

Man

I don't know about "more" but there's still posters like that even coincidentally the movie poster its parodying Star Wars

...

Roller Girl looks more like Julianne Moore than Heather Graham in this poster.

If thats even an original.

Probably because artists of that caliber are a dying breed. I'm sure there's still a few around but most of them are likely painting more worthwhile things, as opposed to movie posters for the latest capeshit.

Because studios are too stingy to pay illustrators anymore. They'd rather get some intern to slap some faces on a poster and put the actors' names out of order.

Like this?

Real reason?

Because it's "old" looking.

Expensive. Just have an intern photoshop something. Just look at Terminator Genysys

...

...

because they don't make good movies like that anymore

...

Like this?

did you have a stroke while writing that?

They are still doing them but it's usually for some bottom of the barrel genre flick trash because apparently that's the only audience who still likes this type of art...

>parodying star wars.
>national lampoon.
>lampoon.

HOLY SHIT, BOYS. HE CRACKED THE CASE!

...

Star Wars episode 7

...

Hobo With a Shotgun.

Here's a wallpaper version based on poster for you OP. Enjoy

Some movies have those every once in a while, mostly the ones paying tribute though.

No one tops Jack Davis
