get a uni student with studio acess to do it for cheap or free

Unironically correct

uni implies cheap

Go to live shows locally, talk to whom ever is running sound and ask if they know a good engineer.

holy fucking shit OP

There's loads of good ones, just depends on your budget.
Colchester here, blessed with some good ones for heavier music.

A pal of mine in Brighton does this kind of stuff. He does electronic music now but we still get down on some metal stuff when he is stateside.

What I did for my first album was actually reddit! I used my local music scene subreddit and filtered down recommendations to find a producer who's mixes I liked and whose price fit my (very modest) budget.
I'd also suggest looking through local bandcamp labels and finding the engineers that are producing for artists on those labels.

Wheyyyyy Essex bois

Imagine leaving pretty bruises on that ass...

She needs a spanking really bad...

>Welshman living in Essex

Go nuts

It's not so bad if you live close to the town center
Anything further out scares me though

you could reach out to teachers in audio engineering programs. I went to school for that and every one of my teachers were great engineers
