Surely there has to be an EDM related anime at this stage about an up and coming broducer?

the current what.cd alternative is redacted (pth before), it's the same people just with a different name, I think you can get an easy invite if you were an elite user or some shit.
you can also go through the interview process which is rather "easy" i'd say.
noted, thanks
so good
Actress DJ Kicks version sounds like ass though.

FUCK MIGOS
you know, what really bothers me about some of this /bleep/ stuff, especially shit like early DMZ is this fake exclusivity.
You can play it out right now, or whenever you want, you can find an MP3 or lossless vinyl rip within three minutes. But if you want to play it on vinyl you have to pay like 200 quid?
What is this shit? What does this have to do with exclusivity, it's just a record being expensive for no reason. It doesn't make the record any more exclusive, anyone who wants it can put up 200 and have it within like a week. I think these attitudes are a burden on the club music scene.
I don't mind actual exclusivity and dubplate culture however, just this fake shit really pisses me off.
memeplate culture
it's literally anti-culture
can't blame dmz for limited pressings of 10+ years ago, they didn't really have the funds to do 1000s of pressings
lots of those releases have been repressed already, if anything blame that one waste on discogs that bought up every release en masse and jacked the price up 500%
>they didn't really have the funds to do 1000s of pressings
Mala mentioned that there's a few thousand of dmz007 floating around.
>anything blame that one waste on discogs
ofc, it's all their fault.
It's also not just dmz, that's just the most obvious example of discogs wastes being waste.
>Mala mentioned that there's a few thousand of dmz007 floating around.
got a source? I find that hard to believe honestly
>It's also not just dmz, that's just the most obvious example of discogs wastes being waste.
tanmushimushi was esp bad at this tho, as in, buying up 100s of represses just as they came out iirc
>got a source? I find that hard to believe honestly
Mala's RBMA thing, before he plays Haunted.
FINALLY i love, love, LOVE future bass and someone finally comes out with a future bass mix!
youtube.com
detroit....
youtube.com
I still don't get future bass
like what is "future" about this?
I mean I guess it has bass, yea, but not nearly as much as you'd expect something to have when it's called "future bass"
desu how can they call it future it's made in the present
because the future is the present and the present is the past
woah dj bone and differ-ent are the same guy?
neat
youtube.com
Maybe because genre names don't have to be literal and are just something that one person usually comes up with to describe a type of music.
they have to convey some semblance of meaning with their words alone and they all sorta do.
Except all this "future [thing]" stuff
future is just like post- in this context
next you're gonna tell me you don't get uk bass as a concept
whats e like
i dig him t b h
post-[thing] actually conveys meaning, because it means something.
future does not.
>next you're gonna tell me you don't get uk bass as a concept
I don't like UK Bass as a term one bit, but I am willing to accept it, because again, it actually means something.
voiski is polar inertia
future dancehall
Are you just playing devil's advocate or something?
How can you not understand that "future" is the same as "post" in this sense. As in this is the future of X genre?
How is bass a genre?
How is shit like burial or whatever else people call "future garage" the future of garage?
The future of garage is Drake lls
How is "house" a genre? It's just the name of an old club that doesn't even exist any more.
house is a term that has been used for over 30 years, it's well established and conveys meaning.
if you know what people mean when they say future garage how does it not convey some meaning lls
nah different. how can you possibly know what the future of a genre is, whereas post is refwrencing that this is taking elements of the thing it is post- but arranging them differently
Like I say, I get where you're coming from but why does a genre have to describe something specifically? It's just something one guy comes up with most of the time
Real pet hate of mine in terms of Sup Forums tier discussion, the whole obsessing over genre definitions thing. Thought we were safe from that in here what with this just being a thread for "bleeps"
but I don't there's so many things that have nothing in common and they call it future garage
plus calling something "future [thing]" sounds dumb
Lls
>how can you possibly know what the future of a genre is
I mean I think it's more like "this song uses 'futuristic' sounds" than "this is exactly what the genre will sound like in 20 years"....lol
