good evening

Not banned. Actual discussion took place. Feels good man.

>It's lying on its back so the camera (if it has one) lense gonna be scratched as fuck, should it move on the sand
good point
maybe she really hates picuters

G'ewening Josh

Fur only belongs on Sup Forums, though.

Avatarii

I'll be monitoring this bread, if you don't mind

...

Kinda strange taking your gadgets to the beach just to get them #rekt tho

Whatcha talkin' about user, It's obviously a nazi propaganda poster. Totally /k/.

If you're trying to be cute you're failing

'sup?

i love bread, it's so nice

Oouna is a p good artist.

Looks like furpostan

indeed! there's a certain style to the artwork that i really like

anything new that you're doing? did you ever try running that mail server you spoke of?

whole-grain bread is always great

...

...

freshly baked, so good

...

...

making it look like an accident
alternatively, stupidity is always an option

A mail server? I'm intensely interested. I'd run one if not for comcast blocking it.

...

...

that sucks, perhaps a vpn that gives you a dedicated external ip address?

...

Nope & nope. Think current internet blocked port 25 both ways so no email 4 me he he

May upgrade Foxxdroid bits around March and do smth w/ it butt gotta find motivation to continue living furst

...

...

...

I wonder if that would work, using stunnel or something.
That feel.

>stupidity
Ableist.

>feel
Rage, there's a board fur anime shit

too good

...

...

hmm, residential isps are like a cancer on the network. they've turned what should be an open thing into an overcommercialised nightmare

what would you upgrade it to?

maybe, though i'd bet the ips most vpns will have available will be difficult to deliver mail from :'(

i'm having pizza right now which is awesome, but now i just want some fresh warm bread just on its own

...

...

>hmm, residential isps are like a cancer on the network. they've turned what should be an open thing into an overcommercialised nightmare
Yeah, if ISPs had their way they'd block all ports except 80.

sad but true

also ctrl+q is way too fucking close to ctrl+w

this
I activated ask on close to prevent

Yeah, I love keyboard combos, but they really do expect you to know what keys you hit. It's to be expected.
I should relearn some of the X11 key combos. The ones you and I probably both know best are the IBM CUA ones.

...

i dont even see that in the firefox options, gonna have a look in about:config :|

>also ctrl+q is way too fucking close to ctrl+w
at least I'm not the only one with that issue

>what should be an open thing
I sort of understand where they're coming from tho, ISP suddenly realizing they've got 9,001 unmaintained email servers exchangeing spam and viruses

They still sell the Odroid-XU4 butt that thing's kinda bordering obsolution now. (Being based on a 32-bit platfurm [knot that it necessarily mattered butt anyway...]), there's an alternative that's based on Amlogic S905 which is 64-bit butt they say ARM Lisux 64-bit support is still early stages. Butt platfurm is a chink mid-tier platfurm so I'd have to research on how does the purrfurrmance compare to the Exynos on the XU4

yes I think its there

>if ISPs had their way they'd block all ports except 80
Mine does, fur this particular cxn type, butt fur €2/month they remove this restriction. (Excl. port 25 fur reasons)

AZERTY keyboard

>i just want some fresh warm bread just on its own
You should go get some bread then if you can. It's too late where I live, but I made sure that I have some good bread

i enabled browser.showquitwarning, only time will tell because i'm not going to test it right now :p

its probably only 1 in 20 times i miss, but it takes all browser windows with it :( so irritating
how do x11 key combos differ?

...

>browser.showquitwarning
That may be the "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" warning, wouldkn't work in case of one active tab

maybe, but automatic scans / abuse reports are a thing - a datacentre i have a virtual server in is pretty good at automatically detecting misuse and i pay them a small fraction of what i pay for internet access at my house

does intel still do tiny atom machines? i wonder what they're like for power usage and performance these days

that's actually disgusting :(

Well that's weird, Ctrl+Q literally does knotting on my Firefox

i had many tabs and multiple windows :'(

there was another similar flag but it was already enabled

hmm, it's quit-literally-everything-without-asking by default on my firefox :|

Guess some ISPs prefur pre-emptive measures

>Atom
eww

>disgusting
All in all still got a better deal than w/ my previous ISP

...

im not aware of any blocks from my isp, but i've not tested :25 inbound at all, though the router they supply does some fuckery with voip stuff ("sip alg") which is supposed to help but fucked everything up with the phones

If I close FF window from the UI sure enough it shows the warning butt Ctrl + Q has mysteriously ceased doing things

Also, cakn't find the option to restore warnings in Options so maybe smth has changed in FF v.XX.X

Also, u use lisux :^3

...

Shouldkn't VoIP work over any designated port tho

>u use lisux
how can you be so sure?

seems more like a firefox problem in any case, though :p looks like i'm on v45.7, what are you running?

>any port
Foxed. Or does it use some standard ports?
Suppose, how else would it know which door to knock...

51.0.1 (also woot the main release 64-bit since when?)

yeah it should, but there are all kind of nat traversal tricks and crap. then routers try to be "smart" about it... voip is a mess of poorly implemented designed-by-committee protocols, everything seems to have minor incompatibilities in different ways - nothing is not broken somehow.

maybe it's not as bad as i make it out, but yeah it does work with non-standard ports in use, but it also works with sip over tls because they can't mitm that and read/fuck with sdp or whatever
pisses me off how you can't disable alg on this router

...

It's been 64bit for over a year already. Almost two if I remember correctly.
At least that's how long I've been running it.

Back from dinner.
What the fuck, that's dystopian.
>that image
The X11 combos are more like emacs combos. I don't like emacs, but they're interesting.
x.org/releases/X11R7.6/doc/man/man1/xedit.1.xhtml

...

hmm what happened to my message, i fucked that up somehow

i wonder how different v51 is, i might have to check it out sometime

i like the hoodies
i use ctrl+a/e/l a lot in the terminal because of bash/readline's emacs-iness, will have to check out what else i can use these in

>maybe it's not as bad as i make it out
Had a quick google and appurently the ALG could be causing issues

>pisses me off how you can't disable alg on this router
Maybe limited by ISP-modified firmware?

work sux, it sux even more when there's a 20% chance of rain.
thanks for the superficial company guys.
Later, eventually.

>sip alg
Yeah, SIP never seems to work for me, even though XMPP does. It's unfortunate, as I'd like to try SIP.
Not sure if it's my router or comcast, as it never ever works.
It's been 64 bit for a year now, I think.

Actually now that you mention think once I wondered how Firefox.exe had stopped being Firefox.exe*32 in Task Manager

As for the image, it just reminded me of my life, which is why I mentioned it. I don't want to live at all, nor do I want a minimum wage sysadmin job.
The commands in that man page will work in all the programs that come with X, pretty much, and programs that use X toolkit or Xaw. Not many programs nowadays. All CUA.
I use pdksh as my shell most of the time. It has both emacs and vi modes, but emacs is default. As for the actual text editor I use, I use nvi, a vi-clone.

>i wonder how different v51 is
Like two generations behind, based on their strange release roadmap

L8r

Spose I'll habeeb that

yeah, sorted it now by making sure sip goes over tls which is a good idea anyway, but i've also got the phones using random local ports

the isp firmware is so bad, the previous versions weren't that bad at all but this one... the pages are super slow to load and just complete crap. connection wise it's fine though

xmpp is awesome, i hate sip though, "flakey" comes to mind. you're only ever gonna want to use it for desk/wall phones probably. most softphones seem to suck ass too

i'd have thought sysadmin work would pay much better than minimum wage? where are you on the planet?

...

I must go, good night.
