Eat a balanced diet, manage your portions, keep hydrated, exercise.

Maybe not easy, but if you're serious about losing weight and keeping it off, you've got to put the effort in.

Thank you! what do you recommend as a diet?

To lose fat, go for [10-12*(current bodyweight in pounds)] calories per day. For example, if you're 200lbs, aim for 2000-2400 Cals/day. Make sure to keep protein high to spare lean body mass, and reduce your carbs and fats. Yes, you're going to lose some muscle; that's the way things are. Yes, you will still need to lift weights 3x per week.

It is not important what weight you start with, but where you end up. Be conservative at first, but from then on constantly try to add weight or increase the number of repetitions for every exercise from workout to workout. If you do this, you'll be working very hard soon enough. 2.5% more weight per week is a realistic goal, and at first you may gain more like 5% per week. That sounds small, but it adds up to a huge strength improvement in a year.

start having sex more.

eat/ drink weight losing stuff like on tv.

Would you recommend solid foods for protein or like power? Or a mix of both?

powder*

Food > substitute 200% of the time. If you can't get enough via food, then supplement the remaining with powder or pills or the like.

Thank you user!

He's right. It's a whole lifestyle change. I might add, get strength training into your routine, bodyweight stuff is good.

Keep it simple to start - give up pizza, potato chips and french fries. That's it, never again.

Buy an electronic scale so you can see gains and losses over time.

This is too advanced for a beginner.

milk, eggs, chicken breasts, burgers you make at home, etc.

I'm big on strength training as you can see the gains in your body which spurs you on. Me, I won't hacve that can of pop as I know it will bloat me a little and my tummy won't look rock hard under that t-shirt. (dude, chicks notice)

Build a metabolism by getting aerobic exercise daily and eating decent food.

Yeah good thing I don't really eat common junk food like chips, soda, cookies. Mainly the junk I eat would be like pizza, burger, wings, like fast food. Would cardio and weight training be a good combo? I heard doing both increases your muscle, but makes loses weight even harder,

Right here, follow this advice.
>200lbs 2000-2400 Cals/day
This is good if you're exercising regularly, otherwise eat a couple hundred less. Try downloading an app to track calories. Being aware of how many calories you've eaten/what you've eaten is a great way to make better food choices.

Drink water

I've lost 30-40 pounds of just sitting behind the desk, playing video games, and cutting food that is too much for you out. Start tracking your food, and try to stay below TDEE, first couple of weeks is fucking difficult, but after a while you get so used to the food that you stop tracking and now you are skinny and enjoying all the health foods.

Before you eat a meal, drink a big glass of water. Whenever you eat, consume about half of what you normally would and stop. Give it 15 or 20 minutes and I bet you're full.
I don't believe you stated this, but I'm guessing you're American. Part of the reason so many of us are fat is because our portions are fucking huge. You don't need near as much food as we are used to eating and once you get used to eating less you'll drop weight easily. Oh and cut out fucking sugary drinks if that's something you do on a regular basis. That alone tends to make a lot of people drop weight quickly.

poop out that giant log you've been holding in and post a pic on Sup Forums
