This is discrimination, a little different, I see where you're coming from here. No religion prohibits you from completely interacting with homosexuals, so deciding to not sell something to someone based on what they do in the privacy of their own home is peetty at best, but is it ethical for a government to restrict this? There are people who have tried to sue for this, but this is nothing that any notable figures are pushing for, you have to be weary of this "loud minority" that media likes to focus on. It's just not that simple, and a tactic that media uses to de-legitimatize any political opponents.

I would say this is a much more complex issue. Imagine that this is a company who is against vaccines or gmo's and refused to pay for something simple like a flu shot for your children. If you were saying conservative vs modern dems or reps, then yes, I'd agree. But right now Democrats accept that fact that they want a bigger government, while republicans say they are in favor of a smaller government, unless it's against their personal views, (abortion, drugs, gay marriage).
At the same time, I do see where you're coming from. Correct me if I'm wrong, but fascism is when one (small) party is in control and has extreme rule over it's people. The U.S. would be more Populist unless I'm mistaken on definitions.
And I still think it's unfair to compare the U.S. to a fascist government, under the rule of either Trump, or Hillary. The biggest thing I think people need to realize is that no matter what, you will always be under the rule of someone. You know what I love is that I see all of this controlled speech bullshit as a direct result of the US education system. Im in my twenties and I remember when I was in school in the 90's bullying was an extreme issue that people were looking for ways to address. This was the peak of participation trophies, varying degrees of special education, integration programs, and if a school board picture didn't have at least 4 races shown with both men and women it was deemed unfit for children's eyes because it might give the wrong impression. We were all taught that words have power, and what we say affects other people. We were all taught that calling someone names can hurt just as much as getting their ass kicked.
I want to say that in the initial stages that it worked. There was a decrease in Bullying and related suicides (I'm too lazy to look for a citation, fuck you. This isn't a peer reviewed journal). I think were it went wrong was with the parents who got super into into this and wouldn't let anything happen to their precious snow flakes. I remember seeing these parents storming around school when I was young, complaining about violent recess conditions (Swear to fucking god), or no left handed scissors for their unique little child. Teachers had to bend to this, because no teacher will ever be able to get away with saying, "I think your kid needs to be toughened up." or, "I think your kid is too shy/awkward/loud/aggressive/etc." instead we all got newly diagnosed disorders, and regulations for special treatment.
The hyper liberal speech controlling protesters are just a logical conclusion of this teaching. Young kids are impressionable. Our first decade or so strongly informs our outlook. I can't overstate how severely implemented this control of speech was integrated into schools. I honestly feel pretty lucky. I went through the earlier iterations of the speech control, but the culture was solidified for the college age kids we see now.
