What was your experience working at McDonalds like? I got an interview with them in a couple of days and just asking for a couple of tips to higher my chances of getting the job.

I did the interview and got the job, as soon as I got home they called telling me I got the job. Don't sweat it. I used to work in one of the fastest McDonald's in the state so mYbe that's why they called me fast, they needed someone quickly.

it was easy as shit op, in my experience if you bust your ass they'll let most things slide. I did everything from showing up late or making my own food, even got high in the supply shed on break most days

Aside from that, I loved my mcdonalds job. If you worked nightshift they wouldn't give you shit for coming in stoned. You could usually talk a husky gal to blow you in the back bathroom or the walk in freezer. You could eat what you wanted. It was more like hanging out with people you probably wouldn't hand out with on the regular.

I worked there for 4 months before I quit. I got put on twice a week if I was lucky and never for more than 3 hours. You won't be helping yourself making $150 a month. It's a job for fucking kids.

Chill job. I made burgers, cleaned the floors, emptied bins. Here in Sweden it's a normal paying job as well so it worked for me until I found a new gig a few years later.
The 25% off on all food and free stuff I took home every day also helped.

I went to McDonald's yesterday and got a Filet-O-Fish combo and a Jalapeño Double. I was eating it in my vehicle in the parking lot and listening to an audio book when I glanced up and saw the McDonald's worker I ordered from was outside having a cigarette.

She waved at me and I nodded and had to wait 7 minutes before she went back inside and I could eat in comfort again. I don't think that employees should be bothering or even trying to socialize with customers outside of the McDonald's restaurant or drive through, but that is another story.

I went to McDonald's for dinner last night and got a Big Mac combo and a 10 piece Chicken McNuggets with barbecue dipping sauce. As I was driving to the second window the same girl was still working. She was acting somewhat obsequious and attempting small talk when she asked, 'why don't you come eat inside instead of in the parking lot'.

That really bothered me for many reasons. First of all, I don't want my routine or actions to be tracked by a fast food employee. Secondly, she should not try to tell me how I should live my life. I do not want to eat inside because I find it less comfortable and would much rather be inside my vehicle listening to an audiobook and enjoying myself and my privacy.

Overall, I think it was very unprofessional to bring this up. I should have a clean slate with each drive through visit, not have to get the third degree because I committed some sort of faux pas. Which I don't think I did, because I often see people eating in fast food parking lots. How does she know I am not busy going to work or somewhere in a rush?

What? I came out of my education with the needed skill to get a job in my field (archaeology/history) which I did just 5 months after leaving campus. . I learned things I could never have dreamed of before starting my education.
