First for black metal is best metal

second for Sylosis

youtube.com/watch?v=OdXx0A1sugI

Forth for John Arch is the greatest metal vocalist ever.

third for AOTY

second for accuracy

>synthpop garbage
last good ulver was Messe

Friendly reminder that Mercyful Fate broke up because Hank Shermann wanted them to turn into an AOR-ish glam metal band patterned after Europe and Dokken.

So in another world, King would've been singing these.

>synthpop garbage
synthpop is metal of pop

all the words you're using are wrong

Worshiping Satan don't pay the rent I guess.

I fucking loved the live album they released last year. Am I the only one?

It's not exactly a live album, but yes, it was amazing

i don't come here but I need to get redpilled on death metal

someone also told me to ask for the motorhead with blackmetal vocals chart if you have it?

>"I think I did good"
>posts pic that proves he did terribly

>i don't come here

This plus a youtube tab/account are the best way to sift through lots of metal and find cool shit.

Probably just as well, King Diamond would've sounded awkward as shit on the poppier stuff.

youtube.com/watch?v=mhY8-iJnZ-M

is this actually good? i thought it was a meme

That last chart you quoted is somewhat bait btw.

it can be both

*next to last

someone actually told me to ask for it in a thread about blackened thrash/speed metal

>i thought it was a meme
kys

surely you mean second to last

It's pretty good. All albums are memes in this general.

Yes, I asterisked

oh, i didn't even look at it lol

is lamb of god + the burn the priest album even worth listening to? I've never bothered, it just ended up in my collection at some point
i remember some guys talking about it in high school so i've stayed away

>lamb of god
>worth listening to

Fixed it
Red line - bad or ive heard its bad
Yellow dot - havent heard
Orange dot - good but not essential
Blue dot - essential but not accessible to beginners
Green dot - essential

That Morbid Angel is the worst shit ever, and is on the chart for bait reasons. Sorry for being metal prude.

Just listen to their most popular songs, a lot of their album content is filler.

You haven't heard Lykathea or Paradise Lost's debut? What?

Thats good, fill me in on the other ones dotted yellow if you want

No, you're right. Same with Pestilence's shining comeback album and Wintersun. And Soilwork. Really there are like 6 or 7 decent albums there

Havent been listening to metal for long, only a few years

What are some bands similar to Burzum? I'm new to blackie metal. I'm also not a nu.

Not sure about most, Lykathea is cool, and although most here hate Soilwork, I think they are interesting, and not really my thing, but maybe norms can like some of their stuff.

discard that chart entirely. This one has its flaws but at least it's actually functional unlike that bait chart.

What Burzum album are you comparing to?

Forgotten Woods, Wigrid, early Drudkh and Wyrd, maybe some DSBM if you dig the Hvis/Filosofem side of Burzum more than the early stuff

Yes, just listen to the first song on all of these on youtube in one big listen, and like the ones you like, then go listen to those whole albums again later, and narrow it down.

arse-set, i am disappoint

LIFE SUCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
AND THEN YOU DIEEEEEEEE

Filosofem and the one before that with the harder name.

Thanks, exactly the albums I was thinking of

Hvis lyset tar oss

showoff

tbqh I don't get that into that kind of bm even though I like some Burzum, check out this youtube channel:

This is why I don't support socialists.

I've always had some serious misgivings with Slavic RAC. Not only do most fail to stand out from their Western European brethren, Slavic accents do the music no favors, especially when they try to sing in English; cringe! These flaws prevent me from enjoying the big names from the Slavlands. Prior to finding "Triumf," I hardly thought Buldok an exception. Their debut lacked any memorable character and every proceeding album sounds gratingly dirgelike. For some fucking reason, they decided to cover "The Strong Survive" at Reverend Bizarre's tempo on the following album. That being said, the band managed to do as much right as they could producing this album.

The skinhead Hard Rock sound of yore was absconded in favor of an epic-style Heavy Metal that sounds surprisingly American; think Manowar or Dokken. The band still manages to sound fresh in spite of some stiff competition. The songs follow an anthemic mid to uptempo verse-chorus structure with a couple of brooding power ballads. Featuring this horribly as out-of-place as out-of-tune saxophone that cracks me up is "Mission: Spandau," which wouldn't sound out of place on Sunset Strip given the production values and guitar tone.

The biggest sticking point would be our vocalist. His obvious trouble with English can be heard in his awkward annunciation and overemphasis on the first syllable of each word. At times, it can take you out of the moment and make you chuckle (ie: "white power" in the opening track), but in other places, you end up cringing. His most evocative performances are in his native Czech. The closing track features a male and female duet over a brooding acoustic power ballad that bookends the album nicely.

Those seeking a white power epic reminiscent of Cult of the Holy War would do themselves a favor seeking this out.

>440000 euro
nothing stops this mad fuck

>On March 1st, Wintersun opened up a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo in order to raise money for their own studio and third album, The Forest Seasons. In the first nine days, they flew past the initial 150,000 euro goal set by the band. The campaign resulted in Wintersun raising 428,310 euro, equal to about 456,625 US dollars, by March 31st.
