Dreamcast has better gfx, PS felt tighter control wise. But maybe I'm just used to it.
Dreamcast was an amazing console. Most PSX games that shared the platform usually had almost PS2 like gfx.

The same reason Transformers movies kept getting made. It appeals to the lowest common denominator of people who don't want to get invested in anything with a good story, and would rather just crank out a few rounds of multiplayer than have something fulfilling.
