What is the best Ghibli film?
What is the best Ghibli film?
I've only seen Mononoke and Spirited Away, but I'll go with Mononoke.
...
Gundam.
Princess Mononoke, but this is a moot question since no Ghibli film can compare to the Nausicaa manga.
Best overall: Castle in the Sky
Comfiest: Kiki's Delivery Service
Best looking: Whisper of the Heart
>Best overall: Castle in the Sky
Porco Rosso
It's Spirited Away, by far. Everyone knows this.
Oh no, it appears you disagree with me. Night ruined. Time to hit the bottle.

Spirited Away GOAT
A better question is: Which is the best, for kids?
Few people would suggest anything other than Totoro. I think it and Ponyo are the only blatant children's movies Ghibli did (or maybe Pom Poko too but I haven't seen it).
>Which is the best, for kids?
Mononoke.
Pleb answer: Spirited Away
Pretentious answer: Princess Mononoke
Contrarian answer: Porco Rosso
Correct answer: Castle in the Sky
Howl's Moving Castle
Howl's Moving Castle.
Spirited Away IS the best weebli film
the one where some boy kills millions of people
t. pleb.
Princess mononoke or the Castle of Cagliostro if you want to count that.
Mononoke
>Castle in the Sky
great film but even though Miyazaki films tend to have acceptable-great english dubs, CitS has really terrible voice actors for the two lead characters.
Gotta go with Mononoke.
Pleb answer: Spirited Away
Pretentious answer: NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind
Contrarian answer: Ponyo
Correct answer: Kiki's Delivery Service
Prove me wrong
t. retarded faggot
wind rises was my favorite but thats mainly due to personal reasons so if you disagree with me thats fine

Thank you based senpai
Ponyo
Pompoko is hardly a kids' movie. Kiki is though
porco rosso or kiki, maximum comfy.
its either
mononoke
kikis delivery service
spirited away
my personal fav is kiki's delivery service. Its a special place, where everything is just right.
I mean like blatantly for kids. Spirited Away was made for little girls but it won a Golden Bear so it's not really what we usually think of as a children's movie.
My favorite was Kiki's.
Objectively wrong.

Kiki's Delivery Service
Princess Mononoke
Out of interest, did you watch the original dub or the Disney redub? I personally liked the voices in the redub but it's been years since I watched it.
I love spirited away but the flying princess without pants was amazing too
I'm serious. The plot was pretty weak but the animation and the art were fucking beautiful. There was just so much going on in every frame.
the one with Anna Paquin and James Van Der Beek, which I see is Disney version according to wiki. Not sure if I can really put my finger on it, but the voice acting on those two just felt disconnected to the visual characters on screen and sounded insincere. I'll give the original dub a shot and maybe it will chance my perspective, I dunno.
>There was just so much going on in every frame.
Fuck you Rick Berman! what is it with Ricks?
That was a compliment friend. I was alluding to the little details that made it so beautiful.
I found it to be the deepest and most mature of his films. I don't consider it THE best buts absolutely near the top.
