Why is this allowed?
Why is this allowed?
I don't understand why the NFL doesn't just play another quarter of football.
>more game time
>more ratings
>more money
I don't get why we have to do this sudden death bullshit, just be like every other sport and play more.
Ties happen once in a while, no big deal
If you haven't noticed football is a very demanding game. It's not worth it, just end in a tie and that's it.
>play in England
>game ends in a tie
>bongs clap
Why the fuck would anyone want to sit down and waste even more time watching this shit?
Because neither of those teams deserve to win.
mfw that stick in the T has wildcard implications.
Timeframes of all the shows ahead of it. Ad time slots. Typical jew shit, that's why
nah, just do a shortened OT period like they have now, then if that still doesn't settle it, they start at the other team's 20 and have to run it in in 4 downs
if a winner still can't be decided after 2 or 3 loops of that, both teams are shot and the home team is deemed the winner
>Ties happen once in a while, no big deal
we arent in yurop, fuck ties
just play college overtime problem solved
Do Ties have any Wildcard importance, or does it basically not even count as a game?
Why are you so against a fucking tie in a regular season game? This isn't a US vs Euro thing either btw
having an overtime at all interferes with that....sooooooo?
They were in Europe though.
Lol.
This. If you can't score in 15 minutes of OT, you don't deserve a W.
i think it helps in terms of winning percentage if you have two 10 win teams
10-6
10-5-1
the team with the tie has better winning percentage
>Dustin Hopkins
Hope this fucker has a long and quiet ride home.
Fuck the refs on that last PI call too.
This game had playoff implications and probably ruined our season.
>an overtime
>Indefinite overtime periods and advertising
Because there needs to be a winner, college football has it right with their overtime.
Not funny, you disgusting yuroboo
Ties have huge wild card importance because there are usually a bunch of teams around 9-7. 9-6-1 means you have an automatic tiebreaker over those 9-7 teams.
I say final jeopardy OT. Each team gets one play at the 2 yard line and the coach can wager as many points as they want to.
He wasn't joking. That game was in Wembly
I only even know that Wembly is a real place because I watched that game.
>blubbershoots don't know the difference between a tie and a draw
I know where they played, dumbass. But this isn't sawker, in American sports wequipment have a winner and a loser each game.
Because it was in England. It had to end in a result the Yuros could understand.
>Sports that allow ties
This is why Baseball is superior
Then how did the game end in a tie?
Please enlighten us Nigel.
Ugh, disgusting. I dont think this semen slurping sport is for me.
Enlighten us then Nigel.
Protip: you can't. They're two words that mean the same thing.
Because the NFL is controlled by idiots pandering to yuros. College football overtime should be implemented in the NFL.
How can you have college rules when you aren't in college?
>in American sports wequipment have a winner and a loser each game.
>game literally ended in a tie
I love how this is making you so upset.
Not for me boys, not for me
Nice semen slurping sport you got there
Stay out of our threads.
Let them post. Their jelly is tasty.
>all these yuroboos defending ties ITT
27-27 is a draw
You can only tie in cricket which happens very rarely
If you can't finish it's a draw
>He thinks Hopkins is the problem
Nigger did you see tress ways hold there?
What is a tie?
I'm not euroboo, it's just that it doesn't really matter. This isn't the playoffs so it's no big deal. YOU CAN'T PLAY 2 OR EVEN 1.5 FOOTBALL GAMES IN ONE DAY. If you ever actually played the game you'd know this
Draw - noun - a game that ends with the score even; a tie.
synonyms: tie, dead heat, stalemate
Which is why the NFL should have a system where each team kicks a 35 yard field goal over and over until a team misses.
That's way more retarded, changing the game like that just to settle a tie. Just call it a tie and move on, not a big issue in the slightest. This isn't the NBA
>they still haven't adopted a modified college OT set of rules yet
There aren't nearly enough games that end in a tie to drastically change the game.
And even if you wanted to, how do you do it in a way that isn't gimmicky bullshit like in the NHL?
>home team is deemed the winner
Nah, thats cheap
Hometeam already had the advantage
semen slurping
Why the fuck not allow it? Do you suggest they keep playing?
Mate, the term is used interchangeably here.
Why would you keep watching two shit teams? I know I'll switch channels and move on with my life
>everything in my life must be black or white, because if not I can't appreciate it
Yes. Use playoff OT rules.
The NFL needs to implement away touchdowns to even out the score when the teams meet again. Just like in the Champions League where an away goal counts as 1,5 goals.
>away goal counts as 1.5 goals
Wut, no it doesn't
That's totally wrong.
If the teams are tied, the team who scored more goals away wins. Period.
>Just like in the Champions League where an away goal counts as 1,5 goals.
Glad you aren't right about this
>0-0 home fixture
>2-3 away fixture
>is considered a draw
"no"
Why not make an arbitrary tie breakers to piss people off?
> Most offensive yards
> least yellow flags
> most sacks
Etc
because it's a fucking game. it's not that serious.
>each team gets 2 drives starting at the 50
>2pt PAT only
Not sure what to do if they're still tied after that
Meaningless game has no effect on the playoff positions of either
Why even have overtime then since neither team failed to score in the 60 previous minutes?
Oh no, it's an extremely rare tie! Quick, change the rules!
>neither team failed to score
You're right, they both scored 27 points. Why wouldn't they play OT?
NFL shouldn't have OTs in regular season and adopt a system "3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw" like in football
Players union thugs
i don't think theres enough ties for that.
but i do think there should be relegation. do we really need to see the browns in the league next year.
Count how many matches went to OT in regular season.
