The last "bad" surprise for me was a few years ago. I accidentally left an ipod on a vehicle. It did survive the fall off of the vehicle, but it did not survive other vehicles driving over it.
It should have felt bad to lose that but... I don't know for some reason at first I was relieved.

Mm, creativity is hard to foster when you're not feeling inspired. But at the same time, I've heard many screenwriters and novelists talk about still persisting even through the tough days, and that has made all the difference for them.
