I have never opened fucking anything
I must have opened 5 boxes worth over the years and the best I have ever got was something like 10€
Meanwhile my asshole friends pop expeditions and MM quality foils left and right
RRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Karn Liberated, I guess
A "Defense Grid" masterpiece from Aether Revolt. Not worth dick, but probably rarest.
Friend got a Foil Karn Liberated, what a bastard.
Got it in my beta case I bought when the game first came out. Out of a whole case, I got 1.
Managed to find another one about 4 months later within a box of boosters I bought.
Ended up selling them after rediscovering them in a closet after several home relocations back in 2009 or so.
Got like $4.5k for each, plus another $11.2k for all the rest of my collection - complete beta, unlimited and up to Arabian Nights, including 4 unopened boxes of unlimited and Arabian (2 each).
Best "stupid card game collection that won't be worth a damn" I invested in. Thanks for pushing me to get them out of spite, Mom.
I'd never use it in a deck, but at least it looks nice. Had no idea what it was when I found it.
was happy
Ugin PW FOIL
Pot of desire
Still have it. Not that rare, but I could sell it for a tidy buck still.
...
first two packs of Unlimited i opened back in 1993... Mox Jet and Time Walk
prolly this
this one, first edition
i found a master of waves and foil stormbreath dragon in the same pack once, does that count?
Black lotus when I was 10
Sold it to some store before the alpha set ended.
>feels
Last i checked it was worth a pretty penny.
Dunno about it now.
...
250$
i got the canopy vista from this set, sold for 150ish on the prerelease night
Got this rare yugioh card
unfortunately it doesn't go with any of my EDH decks.......
kruphix
krenko
malek
I don't get lucky on pulls, like ever.
Digimon is gay.
Got it years ago when Magic was still new and didn't realize that it wasn't considered a card anymore until I looked it up. It's valuable but I'm going to keep it for now, maybe it will be worth more in the future?
>le trollface
fuck off with your pokemon
I'll show another picture so maybe some user can shed some light on why it's not a card anymore, it seems perfectly playable to me
I ran into a printing error and got 2 of these babies in a M15 Deckbuilders toolkit.
Literally no idea what I had in my hand.... my dumbass noob self sold them for a Ob Nixilis Commander deck.
OP here, That pic is one I found online
Got a foil Purphoros on release day for that set. Either that or a Steel Overseer from Kaladesh Masterworks. Trying to sell the latter to make rent, but proce has dropped 20 quid and I kind of want to keep it for my pire colourless modular deck...
Fucking nice card though. If you'd ditched that during RTR you kight have gotten quite a bit.
Isn't the most expensive card I own, but definitely the most expensive I've personally opened from a pack. I found a dude selling sealed boxes about a year ago and splurged on a Planar Chaos box, and pack fresh got this. Funny part is I've wanted one since PC came out, but never even got a regular one. Its probably my favorite pull ever
Close second (this was one pack I got for Christmas this year from a friend from my card shop. Worth more total probably than the damnation, still a sick Kaladesh pack.
Fuck zoodiacs bruh
...
Looks brand new
Oh yeah, also got a couple of these when I sent in the insert in the back of the Arena.
Said the program was over but they sent me the rest of the cards they had left as thanks: pretty sure there were two or three of these
oh gawd if that added black mana it would be amazing in my old pestilence deck
...
I always enjoyed shrine far more than any other expedition because of how well it fits in eldrazi and taxes, nice pull. Me personally, i got a temple garden expedition, sold it for 30 cash and a 17 dollar draft, not worth it
>rarest card is from 2015
Son... I am disappoint
I found this guy and Bruna, The Fading Light in the same blubbering booster
cool stuff
Got this in my last draft game which I lost horribly.
Once I got a Liliana, the last hope which I sold for 2 drafts.
Can't be arsed to build a deck, ever. Drafts are perfect and fun for playing an equally powered deck as your opponent.
Although this card might have a sick killer combo with Grindstone
Got a Heart of Kiran and that lion dude planeswalker as well. and a greenbelt rampager datestamped (prerelease).
All sold to play more drafts.
>Me on prerelase
>Got shit from packs
>"Ok it's card swap time"
>Got ugin and some rares instead of worthless shit
Don't you think, mtg is a bit Pay 2 Win ? Or too expensive?
Was banned along with others that had the same thing for each color. Only reason is because it is free mana and you could basically use this with the others to go nuts turn one.
Imagine if you played someone and their turn one went
>Land
>Two of these
>Sol ring
>Mana crypt
>Dreamstone hedron
Really shit example, but still on turn one that's 10 mana, turn two eldrazi titan would be a good follow up though; and that's game if your ill prepared.
Mox Crystal wasn't banned. It isn't even a real card dipshit.
I have a foil dark Depths from Coldsnap. No idea how much it's even worth since I never see it in price guides and I'm pretty damn casual, even though I been playing since 2001. I don't use it because I strongly dislike token creatures.
Shit my bad, I 8 the b8; just saw Mox and I thought this was the white mana one, didn't notice it was (c) until now.
It was a planned card for Mirage but it got cancelled. They used the art for Enlightened Tutor instead.
It was counterfeit around 2002-2004. At first, someone just made stickers to put over any card, but then someone printed a fake card.
I was doing sealed play with my buddies box of Khans and pulled a foiled Pollueted Delta
It kinda is. That's why drafts are much better to play.
So that's what happened. I guess I had a fake card for a while then
I would say it is if you're playing casually. At high tournament level, everyone is playing the best, and usually the most expensive cards available. So, while it's still expensive to compete at a high level, there is a larger emphasis on luck and skill.
