I want to live my life in service to something. Preferably conservation or nature. Goin to school for it, and have some decent background in it, but don't know where to start job/careerwise

How do I do this Sup Forums?

Shameless bump

Bump. Picture unrelated

Find a really good church, a small one that feels like a family. Go every sunday and talk with the leaders and seniors of the church, absorb their wisdom. They're full of the stuff.

You can fuck right off.

Thank you. Haha.

US Forest Service, US Dept. of The Interrior, Shell, Chevron, state fish and game, state parks

You're not that smart. Are you?

It's not always that easy. It depends on how local the jobs are. And if you don't think I haven't applied at least a couple times, you're very wrong. It's a relatively competitive area. Do you feel good by trying to be superior"

>Interrior

Also, when people want to know something, they ask questions. Get over it you socially retarded buttmunch.

So you've applied to all the federal and state forest type agencies. And all the oil companies? As well as all the state and county parks agencies? I doubt it. And no it's not that hard. Stop applying for the director's position and for an entry position.

Worked for 3 years as a park ranger years ago. Fucked a lot of hippy girls sometimes 2 and 3 at a time all it took was a bottle of cheap wine.

Holy fucking shit. I added an extra "r," shit on a brick and call me a faggot.

Fuck yes.

Can you just talk like people, or are you always so melodramatic?

No. I obviously never meant that. And I wouldn't like to work for an oil company. What do you know of the environmental field anyway?

You're on Sup Forums if you don't like it get the fuck out.

My mom is a geologist. A lot of cool outdoor adventures growing up.

Hey OP, Environmental Scientist here, the best thing you can do is go to school for a degree in some kind of environmental science so that you have a shot at jobs or internships with federal programs in conservation. Look into work through things like national parks and your local wildlife, fish, and game departments. There's also plenty of opportunities for unpaid volunteer work in things like land management. Feel free to ask if you have any questions

Enjoy your basement.

Thanks for constructive feedback! It's much appreciated. I'm going to school for an Environmental program that should land me a job that would pay for university. But I'd like to be living off a relevant/tolerable job till then. Doing online local college anyway

Don't have one. Do you even know Sup Forums you newfag? Where the fuck do you think you are? Do you think that just because you sucked some nigger cock and contracted AIDS means that Sup Forums will go easy on you? Well, it does. And I am going easy on you.

Come to norway.

Fuck Norway.

Good shit. Kinda interesting field

Oh yeah??? Is there a lot of conservation job opportunity there?!

Then focus on internships and fellowships. But the most important thing is being willing to move around to do them. If you only apply for local positions, you're going to have a very difficult time getting a position, and those you could get won't be good. Look for positions that will cover your housing cost, don't require you to have a vehicle to get to the job site, and have at least a stipend for food, and apply for every one you can. Don't expect to be making enough to live off of, you'll be lucky to get more than $1k for a summer internship. Good luck m8

Of course. Socialist money conservation. Taking your money and giving it to losers who don't want to work.

You can suck cock on the side to make more money.

The coast guard is a great job

If you are referring to me, I fucking work to live right now and have since before it was necessary. I've worked many jobs and pursued many careers, you're probably some cunt troll but what makes you an authority?
