First for Master

I'd delete this if i were you. Or at least wait until 6pm tonight when they officially release it.

...

Every time I see this my first thought is that it's a cropped porn picture. What is it?

>The Doctor: I don't mean the war. I'll lose any war you like. I'm sick of losing people. Look at you, with your eyes, and your never giving up, and your anger, and your kindness. One day, the memory of that will hurt so much that I won't be able to breathe, and I'll do what I always do. I'll get in my box and I'll run and I'll run, in case all the pain ever catches up, and every place I go, it will be there.

>Clara: You did your best. She died. There's nothing you can do.

>The Doctor: I can do anything. There's nothing I can't do. Nothing. But I'm not supposed to. Ripples, tidal waves, rules. I'm not supposed to.

12 as of S9 is capable of discussing his feelings more frankly and maturely than any other new series Doctor, with an air of detachment. Does this mean he has grown up and will it prompt an evolution in how the character is written?

I know whatever this is is fake but I wished they'd calm down with the "run" meme a little. It's like they turned a popular complaint (doctor who is too much running down corridors) into a marketing tagline.

I hate this annoying new-age pseudo-hipster fuckface.

the fuck is this shit?

It's part of a badly drawn panel from Cornell's new multi-Doctor comic miniseries, Supremacy of the Cybermen. I storytimed it the other week.

...

I'm honestly disappointed and almost surprised it wasn't porn. Is the comic any good?

CAN YOU
R U N ?

It's from a 30 second BBC promo which features other shows as well

No it isn't.

No.
The storytime was here: archive.4plebs.org/tv/thread/71701406/#71707136

I will do issue #2 when it comes out in a couple of weeks.

...

Post the screenshot of the new vortex and the sea devil armour please

Alright what the fuck is this.

Just in case anyone was in danger of being fooled by this.

>fishing for (crisp)'s with bait this week

what a tragic waste

C A N Y O U
R U N ?

How do you explain this ?

yeah

>another 5 months until the Christmas special

We can make it, r-right?

Very easily.

youtube.com/watch?v=EpbmMhNe6aA

CAN YOU
RUN?

It's not by Cornell though.

what the fuck

Oh fuck me, of course it isn't! I was mixing it up with his previous one. It's by Cavan and George isn't it? Many apologies.

As nice as it would be to have a specially shot trailer again, I'm kind of glad we've moved past this sort of thing

SHUT THE PHUCK UP

GOAT

The official Doctor Who twitter just teased that there may be a Class Trailer at comic-con

wait no, it wasn't the official account sorry

...

Capaldi looks so weird in this pic.

another 100% real leaked screenshot from the trailer that is definitely real

I want 12 to fly through the time vortex.

>red
He's got the blue coat now. Seriously why waste your time with such shitty bait? Do you honestly believe someone is stupid enough to believe you? You're fucking retarded.

>go to bigfinish.com
>go to log in
>my last name is in the username field
>It's been a while, is that really what I chose as my username?
>I dunno, guess so
>hit login
>Either your username or password is incorrect
>had password recorded
>make sure it's right
>it doesn't work
>change password
>it still doesn't work
>no option for 'forgot your username?'
>whatever I'll just create a new account
>can't create two accounts with the same email address
GOD DAMMIT I JUST WANT TO GIVE YOU MONEY YOU FUCKING CUNTS. FUCK YOU, IT'S PIRATING TIME.

>only having one email address

>bigfinish.com/customers/forgotten_password
0/10

reminder that Vincent and the Doctor was based on a true story

>change password
>it still doesn't work

you've clearly got the username wrong you fucking twat

meant for

Yeah and I have no way to change my username or find out what it is. Work on those reading comprehension skills famalam.

You can log in with your email address

Shit, I tried it before and it didn't work but I just tried it again and it worked, guess I fucked up the first time. Many thanks, user.

No problem.

>blue
It's black

Reminder.

Reminder George Lucas worked with Chinballs for two years and wrote fifty scripts for a Star Wars tv show that never happened.

You can see Capaldi getting progressively more annoyed and Jenna on the pic with the white shirt looks like she's scared for her life

Really?

he needs to be stopped

Adam Orford parody in an episode when?

>he hasn't seen the set photos

So is he part of the production team?

It's black with blue lining.

No.

Yeah.
denofgeek.com/uk/tv/star-wars/42349/star-wars-chris-chibnall-terry-cafolla-were-hired-for-live-action-tv-show

wasn't he supposed to be wearing a green jacket this series?

Nope, just someone who stalks everyone involved with the show.

Wow.

Fucking hell, the quality of The Pirate Planet from the torrent "Doctor Who - The Complete Classic 26 Seasons Collection + Extras" is really shoddy.

These are all VHS rips but they've been pretty good up until now. Does anyone have a better torrent, hopefully with DVD rips and extras?

No. He is an unemployed fan, very possibly on the spectrum (based on some of his behaviours e.g. obsessively counting the number of times he has met Peter Capaldi and telling everyone), who has no goal in life other than stalking the set of filming and is convinced he is friends with the entire cast and crew.

Among other things, he has actually threatened someone that he would show Peter screencaps of their youtube comments. This pretty much sums up everything about his grasp of the world.

Context, we were clearing talking about the lining unless you have zero reading comprehension.

Living the dream.

fuck off

someone thought the black coat was green and it spread around on twitter. no green this year.

>whiz kid

classic who vk m8

...

The Classic Who VK keeps giving me an error whenever I try to load a video. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

>It's a "Tom Baker looks directly into the camera and says something stupid TWICE IN ONE EPISODE episode
Fuck off Tom
Tom Baker and Douglas Adams is a match made in heaven, but perhaps not for Doctor Who. The Pirate captain in this serial is incredibly over the top and annoying. It is hilarious though and I am enjoying it.

You're the idiot because you obviously can't see the irony of the post.

I'm at this strange fork in road where I am both immensely enjoying the surreal humour of the Williams era, and being incredibly annoyed by it. It's very funny, there's some very interesting sci-fi, I love the performances, but a lot of the humour distracts from the drama, in my view. I feel like if this was an episode of "The Douglas Adams Show" I'd have no issue with it

>not liking 4th wall breaks

Ugh I don't remember that happening. I could at least headcanon the one in UTL/BTF as being him actually talking to Clara, not the camera, but this one is blatant. Capaldi probably did it because Baker did it.

At least it's not as gratuitous as Baker doing it, I don't know. I'd need to see it in context but I'll probably just be annoyed by it.

I like them in Malcolm In The Middle because the entire show is set up around them, but to just have The Doctor suddenly directly address the audience in the middle of a fairly serious moment just for a cheap laugh is really grating. Especially in an episode like The Pirate Planet which is a bit ridiculous and with some odd performances already sretching the limits of my suspension of disbelief.

The worst part is, I laugh every time. I chuckle, and then think "fuck off Tom, you've ruined the tone for a cheap laugh"

I physically cannot imagine Pertwee ever gurning into the camera for a laugh

The Doctor's greatest secret is that he knows that he exists in a fictional universe, hence the recurring fourth wall breaks. He can't tell anyone because it would cause mass chaos throughout the universe and it would descend into existential hell.

There's Moffat's big twist.

>I am falling, Clara. I'm dying. And I am going to explain to you how I survived. I can't wait to hear what I say. I'm nothing without an audience.

...

>Capaldi probably did it because Baker did it.
Capaldi probably did it because Moffat wrote into the script. I'm not bullshitting, they put the HS script online and the 'faintest of looks to the camera' is in there as a direction.

Moff wrote a thing in DWM some time before it aired, talking about how the camera/viewer can represent the Doctor's imaginary audience who he plays to in order to motivate himself.

Fucking hell. I quit. I'm done with Doctor Who. I am never watching this fucking awful show again.

Onto Pirate Planet part 3 I guess

Moffat also wrote a story where the Doctor is a human scientist from Victorian England who built a TARDIS, discovered primitive Gallfirey, raised them into Time Lords, and then stole a TARDIS and ran away again when he got sick of them.

u r autistic m8

Aren't we all?

here respectfully disagreeing. Well not that respectfully, calling user autistic was pretty rude desu. If there isn't an established convention of a character interacting with the audience, having it suddenly happen out of nowhere without a justification can easily disrupt the viewer's attempt to decipher the episode. When the only conclusion to draw is "Tom is fucking around again" or "forced levity to appease the BBC", that leads you straight out of the episode and back into its irksome production circumstances.
Nothing autistic about not liking that.

In contrast, BTF sets up and establishes a whole opening scene around this convention, from the outset. It also makes sense, because it's completely in character for the Doctor to talk to himself or give a fun lecture in the TARDIS. The viewer can immediately work out that they are in the position of his hypothetical audience.
Heaven Sent's is cheekier and more jarring considering it comes out of almost nowhere and is done as a joke, but it only lasts a fraction of a second, and takes place within the Doctor's mind space where he's already kind of talking to himself/us, so it doesn't completely break any logic.

There's a lot of talk about 'suspension of disbelief', but the only true test is the audience's ability to work out why they're seeing/reading something. If the only answer points to something outside the text (e.g. "they didn't do this very well"), then that takes the audience out of the text. But if they can continue to make sense of the text using its own set up justifications and style, they will remain engaged.

Wow, you actually took the time to type this drivel out?

twitter.com/philfordesq/status/756542126679330816

Maybe he's writing for Series 10?

I haven't watched anything since Peter capaldi first started; what's the likelyhood of getting a new doctor soon?

When you go to a German shopping mall

>I haven't watched anything since Peter capaldi first started;
Why?

>calling user autistic was pretty rude desu
>mfw

You're gonna have to wait until 2018 at the earliest.
