I really enjoyed Cloverfield Lane and that featured a strong female lead. People have a fit over Ghostbusters because NO ONE other than Pascal fucking wants it. It has nothing to do with He-man woman haters club, and everything to do with this movie being a soulless nostalgia cash grab. When they saw that the nostalgia wasn't doing the trick, they tried using controversy to sell tickets. That blew up in their face and justly so. I'm waiting for them to change tactics again and start saying shit like "This movie was banned by the pope! Seeing this movie is bordering on criminal! You shouldn't see this no matter what!"
