The Cubs have a spring training stadium here in Phoenix, and i got to watch their very first game of 2016 at a party a neighbor of mine was throwing.
I've never been huge into baseball but it was entertaining enough, but what got me most hyped up was a very enthusiastic Cub fan sitting next to my father and me who told us their sorted history of endless hope constantly being dashed over and over again.
I sincerely hoped they'd get their win eventually. Never thought it'd be this year.
Congratulations Chicago, it sounds like this was well-earned. I'll be looking forward to Cub games in the future
