My stats so far: I have only been rapping and making beats for a about a month. I have always been talented with things such as poetry and literature (I am dyslexic tho). I have about 70 books listed as read from the last two years. The vast majority of them are classics. My reading in literature will I think help me craft meaningful lyrics. I am also objectively good with all things verbal (99.9th percentile verbal reasoning).
At this age,do I have the capacity to become great at making beats or rapping (I mostly want to rap).I am not retarded so I don't care about using music as a means to reach financial stability , my aim is instead to rap as well as ,or better than, rappers such as MF DOOM,Nas, Eyedea, slug, Jay Z, Earl, Eminem ,Lupe,Kendrick, ect.
you do you, OP don't let anyone tell you otherwise
also I can's stop laughing at that picture for some reason >maybe it's because goat boat would have made a better album

don't waste your time with music
Wyatt Hill
You might look a bit odd rapping but there's really no age limit on being a producer
Xavier Robinson
Why would you think 18 is too late to start making music? Do you think the majority of rappers or hip hop producers are teenagers or something?
Lincoln Carter
If you're serious, that is literally the perfect time. I'm pretty sure Biggie started rapping around that time. The best rappers right now are generally around 30.
Ian Lewis
Yeah yeah not that much blah blah. Get the fuck outta here. Plato had access to barely any fucking books.he is estimated to have read under 100 books. Its not always about how much you read sometimes its about how much depth you put into the works that you reading instead.quality over quantity you fucking fag.
Brandon Powell
none of this indicates you are creative, so no. wurst thread of all time.
Robert Long
>greatest of all time of our generation
Gavin Gutierrez
If I wanted to get money I'd pick something different than rap. The reason I wanna rap is because I have been listening to rap for pretty much my whole life. Some of my favourite times have been listening to an Introspective song, or arguing about which rapper is the better than another one, ect. Dunno if that's a good reason but that's the truth my famm .
Landon Ramirez
Well what age do you reckon they start at?
Joseph Baker
Yes yes but you can surely think if it would be possible for me to cultivate good flow, rhyme schemes, and the other essentials that a rapper must master.
Jordan Miller
I'll be your ghost writer
>I'm some hot nigga so don't try nothin funny >Not a Hot Boy cuz I ain't signed to Cash Money >Glock on my waist and the draco in the back >I'mma pull up and blast til you're consumed by the black >Hoes on my dick cuz I lay down the pipe >I be talkin all that jazz RIP to Phife >Stop throwin that shade or we gon knuckle up and fight >I'mma have my lil homie run up on you wit a knife >I be higher than mt everest cuz i smoked a million blunts >Fucked a couple models and they all swallowed my nut >Took some PCP now I wanna eat some pussy >Call me Big Lurch cuz I'mma eat that pussy literally >Call me Stevie Stephens cuz my bitch just cucked me >I haven't came in months so please daddy fuck me >I'm into BDSM so please beat me like Christy >I want to dress up like Father John Misty >When I watch porn I fap to Bailey Jay everytime >I have crippling depression and I want to fucking die >My dad molested me when I was eight >Now I think of him when I masturbate
Also, you should have green and pink dreads and call yourself "Lil Brownie"
Luke Morris
You could pull a Madlib and just distort your voice electronically.
If your work is abstract then people will eat that shit up.
Eli Hernandez
Its really not about skill, the real question is can you market yourself well. There are tons if backpack rappers that can produce bars and "meaningful" lyrics but if you aren't marketable you won't get far.
Carter Green
Now this is a good idea.
Bentley Ross
There are lots of white people that don't start "rapping" until their late 20s and they find huge success by just making nerdy popular references and rhyming the end of each spoken line.
Christian Cox
any examples? Milo maybe?
Thomas Flores
Egoraptor Rucka Rucka Ali Andy Samberg
Ethan Perry
remember, you're selling yourself. It's a little less about the music, and more about the artist.
Zachary Ortiz
2Pac lives
Mason Sanders
>Took some PCP now I wanna eat some pussy Without the next line giving it away I thought this was actually pretty funny. If you actually write try shopping around for a gig.
Ethan Adams
send a vocaroo of your voice, it might actually be pretty cool and help you stand out
