I did for less than 6 months..

Quit? Fired?
How was it?

Quit. Signed up for days and nights and kept getting scheduled a night shift after a morning or visa versa...it was fine with the old manager, but the new manager was a fucking slave driver. They also didn't give me anything extra for volunteering to work on my bday and Christmas OR new years. Kinda pissed me off.

I kinda regret quitting like I did (just walked off the job) because it does look good on a resume.

fuck mcdonalds i work at one of them and I've got a gm in the store as a main manager of the store. It has been rough and i've felt like they have tried to force me into quiting.

...

It was also dangerous. Almost got knocked out exactly twice.

Right on Hastings St in East Vancouver. Most bums per square kilometer than anywhere (in the world?)

I̶ ̶d̶o̶.

Oh wait, sorry. I mean I'm in sales and make $1250 a day every working day.

I keep confusing the two.

>My bad.

>didn't give me anything extra for volunteering to work on my bday

and there you have it. this is what happens when the snowflakes who got "participation awards" for under achieving join the work force.

>didn't even give me something for volunteering to work on my birthday. BWAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAA

At every other workplace I've ever been to, coming in to cover someone on your bday would at least get a thanks...

They got that new grand mac. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks good.

That's probably the most interesting story I've ever heard. Do you have any more like it?

I'd demand a blowjob at the very least.

its epic.

Or a a free meal/thanks/sure you can go home early we aren't busy.

Well, smart ass. I work the register & make $12.50 an hour after only working here for, like, a year and a half.

I'd hate to work at McDonalds, smells would be too tempting. I suppose it'd be as bad as filming porn, you get to watch but not sample

I currently work in one on long island NY. im a DM and i dont do shit but tell people what to do and yell about payroll. life is good. live in a house and have 2 beautiful motorcycles and a shit box car thats reliable. I suggest starting young and kissing ass. makes for a good living if your willing to say yes to anything they ask and not get pissy when they dont thank you. they will thank you with money

how's that relevant to user wanting a fucking trophy for working on her birthday?

work on your critical thinking skills and you might get a job one day that doesn't involve shift work.

See

I can tell you how I did it if you want that story.

never forget they send chicken to china for processing and sent us back RAT MEAT in chicken nuggets. fuck them

Anyone that shuts up and just works is invaluable now since the market is flooded with entitled millennials that think they're too good for simple minimum wage jobs

>make $12.50 an hour

see, that's the same as me. $12.50 an hour....100 hour days.....

>aint hard to shut up and work.
> work
>yes maam or yes sir
>promotion after sweet promotion
>less than a year im a manager
>less than 2 years im managing the asshole managers who used to shit on me
shutting up is well worth it.

where the fuck do you work? We have crew members that have worked for 8 years making barely 9$.

Started around a year and a half ago as latenight maintenance, 3 days a week. Full-time about a month in. 1 year in and I've just been promoted to a swing manager. Funny thing is I'm next in line to become a salary manager because I'm the only manager with a completely open availability. Feels good!

listen to user.

>god-tier advice right there

more god-tier advice.

you whiney little snowflakes need to listen to this

like you:

Top tier sage advice, user

I rage quit this job.
Threw my hat on the floor, took off my shirt, threw it at the manager, and told all the customers that no one washes their hands.

That's not the Red Robins sign faggot.

Are you pulling your weight, or just some lazy fuck who thinks flippin a burger or pulling fries from grease is hard work?

I bet more than half of that goes to child support and the other half goes to booze because you hate your life.

still one wife #1

Actually love my job. But I do drink some top tier booze.

It's not worth working hard for...

bad news. when you get a job that doesn't have shift work, you don't get to expect to have your birthday off and you sure as fuck don't get a prize for "volunteering" to work it.

ugh

ur just a dick face

>face

i might have to work there soon.
Any advice for me? that being my first proper job...
>21
>shit memory
>can work under pressure but I'd fucking kms if thats what I have to deal with every day for minimum pay
>friendly but not too chatty
Is this a job an autismo like myself can get used to?

Don't cover peoples shifts and make sure you only work days or only work nights :P

Fast food or...?

>Irish Pub
I host, run, and bus.

Qualifying best as most profitable?
McDonalds is doing something right, but I doubt it is the very average food that is high in sugar, saturated fats and salt.

Really good marketing combined with targeting children with addictive foods and a cheap menu.

Forever Amerifat.

aight
what sort of shit do you do in a job like this? do you get proper training too?

>my brother got a shitty job at a gas station last week
>was promised training but they just assumed he'll know how to deal with shit when it comes to it
>everyday something new came up, didn't know how to handle it
>manager being a cunt about it, giving out about "not knowing how to do your job properly"
this sort of shit scares me a little, I'm shit at figuring out what to do myself, I just want a reasonably easy job that will pay the rent so the world can fuck off

How much money do you make on a busy day?

I've worked in like 1/2 a dozen restaurants but never front of house.

I work at McDonald's 12 hours a week while attending HS. That's not that hard, juste a little exhausting but people are cool. I'm in France

It's as easy as mowing the lawn. You will be well trained.

"...I DIDN'T EVEN CUM IN THE CUSTOMERS FOOD LIKE YOU INSISTED, YOU FUCK!"

I kept the uniform lol

Except for the pressure part you can do it, it's a mechanical work if you work in the kitchens. But some managers can put pressure on you

me
and i am mexican livin in the us

enjoy the rat meat in ur nuggets losers

thanks man, feel a little better now. If nothing works out then at least I know its not the end of the world

I do and it's honestly not too terrible.
Gets rough sometimes like on Sundays around 7PM since we're right down the road from a big ass church.

Made some good friends there, got a gf out of it. Can't complain.

Rat meat is fucking tasty, don't knock it

>but I doubt it is the very average food that is high in sugar, saturated fats and salt.

it's that golden ratio of those very ingredients that makes it addictive that makes them profitable.

>true story

Le Royal with cheese

>because of the metric system

>they wouldn't know what the fuck a quarter pounder is
