What are some good films set in the period 1750-1900? Preferably about war. (Westerns not included)

What are some good films set in the period 1750-1900? Preferably about war. (Westerns not included).

I've seen:
>Waterloo
>Master & Commander
>Sharpe
>Hornblower
>The Bounty
>Barry Lyndon
>Zulu
>The Man Who Would Be King
>War & Peace

I think this is right up your alley, though it isn't a war film. It takes place just after The French Revolution

Carry on up the khyber

The Patriot is really good.

Seen it

Seen it

It just looks like cringey American bravado to me

The Duellists.

I don't think they made movies back then.

>set in the period
think you're funny?

Amadeus

>guy lists barry lyndon and you suggest to him roland emmerich garbage

roflmao

I don't think they set movies back then.

read a fucking book. The period was so vastly different from contemporary times that movies can't even scratch the surface.

Gunga Din is very good though a bit dated since it was made in the 30's.

Last of the Mohicans

i love this movie

One of my favorite kinos 2bh

Kino

gettysburg
bisckmark
the charge of the light brigade
rhodes
fall of the eagles
bismarck
the ghost and the darkness
sanders of the river
the drum
four feathers

the man in the iron mask

> It just looks like cringey American bravado to me

then you're a faggot

The Duelists is one of my favorite movies.

We need more Napoleonic and WWI movies, I'm fucking tired of WW2 and 'nam.

Not a film, but Fall of Eagles is a good show about the German, Austrian and Russian monarchies from Bismark up to the end of WW1.

>>Zulu

The movie was made much later (1979) but the events take place before those in "Zulu".

...

I do read a lot of books on the period, my degree demands it, yet I do enjoy these films and would like to see more.

this is exactly what I'm looking for
