I haven't seen any David Lynch film yet, what would be a good place to start?

Dune was his only good film desu.

Blue velvet

blue velvet -> twin peaks -> fire walk with me -> the grandmother -> eraserhead -> lost highway -> mulholland drive -> inland empire

what film of his is most similar to his short film "Alphabet" because I quite enjoyed that

don't even bother with his films. they're garbage.

What is great, though, is RLM's re:View of Eraserhead. I contributed heftily to their patreon after watching and you bet I smashed that like button!

no. dune is great for its sets and costume design, but even Lynch hates it. i recommend Blue Velvet, just because it has a fairly easy plotline to follow. it's basically a dark, comedic crime drama with a lot of memorable characters.

Lost Highway is great for its symbolism and also if you love poetry stuff.

wild at heart and mulholland drive

the rest are shit

You don't even know what the donut tastes like.

Holy fuck that scene is creepy

Start with Eraserhead.

This for sure

Eraserhead is a fucking nightmare to watch.

It's not that bad my dude

its been foreever since I saw lost highway. are both those from the same movie at the different parts? or is that from something else?

That's the same movie of course.

The party scene from Lost Highway is the scariest thing I've seen I've seen in a Lynch film. Got me way worse then the thing behind the dumpster

replace eraserhead with the elephant man and you're golden

Blue Velvet then Mulholland Drive.
