metal has strayed so far from its roots that it honestly has no appeal for me anymore. Most artists have zero identity, the songs have no memorable riffs or melodies, and the screaming shit has been old and stale for over a decade now.
The recent kick of 80's throwback thrash is enjoyable enough but nothing amazing.
