I fucked up the subject;

Unpopular Opinions General

AC/DC's second singer is superior to the first.

>Ringo is best Beatle
>Jack White's voice is kind of annoying
>Whiplash isn't that great of a movie.

>no
>maybe
>definitely

Droit gets all the hate for no reason; it's not Blue or Pink, but it's way better than Green.

>All Things Must Pass is better than any Beatles album
>Sir Lucious Left Foot...The Son of Chico Dusty is better than any Outkast album
>Death Grips have been spinning their wheels since The Money Store
>the new Gorillaz album is pretty good but the second half is a bit of a slog
>EL-P > Killer Mike
>Swans' late 80s/early 90s goth rock period is really shit and cheesy
>Coloring Book was a top 3 AOTY for me
>what OP said about Maladroit

>Die Krupps' version of "Blackened" is superior to the original
>Duke is the best Genesis LP, and the Peter Gabriel material is overrated (but good)
>The first two Linkin Park album's have aged better than i thought

>All Things Must Pass
Been saying that shit for years.

George is best Beatle

All thing must pass would be better if he dropped all that jam shit.

>Pink Moon is the most profound work of music ever made.
>Neutral Milk Hotel's name is referring to a penis using Jeff's naming system (Synthetic Flying Machine).
>A lot of prog/post-rock music is simple, artsy wankery.
>Most pre-romantic classical is devoid of emotion.

>Terror Twilight is one of the better Pavement Albums. I like it more than Brighten the Corners

I don't get why everyone, including Malkmus himself, dumps on it.

>Hybrid Theory and Meteora aged well

I hold this opinion too.

I think it's their weakest but Cream of Gold is probably my favourite Pavement song

It might be a Nostalgia thing, but I love Foo Fighters "One By One"
"Disenchanted Lullaby" is a seriously underrated deep cut.

The Wall>>DSotM

>>Most pre-romantic classical is devoid of emotion.
This is just dumb. You can like Pink Moon, but pairing it with this dissmisal, I'd say you don't get emotion from harmony, which is as close to non-musical as a music fan can get

If you call any of that music you're a peasant.

Do you hate it though? I mean, really dislike it general? The band has pretty much disowned it. Even the biggest Pavement fans try to forget it.

I think it's good, like a 7/10. Can't understand why people would actively hate it. Except for the band themselves, sounds like they had a bad time making it.

>Das Racist was, and still is the best hip hop group of the 2010s
>Pavement sounds lazy and is overrated
>Panda Bear killed AnCo

>including Malkmus himself
source?

I don't think Pavement fans hate it. It's just their weakest album.

This guy probably has it. Their was a lot of fucked up band politics when they were making that record; Kannberg's songs were scrapped, West was having trouble playing some of the songs in time, and Malkmus had kind of checked out and was fronting Pavement begrudgingly.

Where should I start on Das Racist? I'm a hip hop head but never really delved into their catalogue.

Shitty phone link, sorry. Just google malkmus pitchfork terror twilight.

I thought everyone already agreed on this though?

Maybe it's just my idiot friends then.

All accurate expect for new Gorillaz being

Try listening to Relax. Their discography is pretty small so if you like it, you should listen to their 2 mixtapes too.

>80s synthpop is actually good
>80s hair metal is actually good
>70s prog is actually good
>00s indie rock is actually bad
>80s hip hop, 90s alt-rock, and 60s psychedelia are overrated

Thanks senpai

Gonna keep it interesting with gear related stuff

>Floyd Rose is a complicated and useless system, at least for the vast majority of people who use it.

Certainly better than their contemporaries in most ways.

THE guitar god of the 80's and 90's was and always will be Eric Johnson.

>Coil taps suck. The single coil sound on tapped buckers always sounds like crap, go one way or the other.
>Orange and Mesa are overrated. The exception being old Oranges, and the Retro 50
