The Fire Engines - Lubricate Your Living Room
Утpo - Утpo
Looking for Recs please :)
Sun Ra
At the Drive in
Remo Drive
Red House Painters-Down Colorful hill
You should check out J Mascis' solo work.
The Daysleepers-Drowning in a Sea of Sound
Don't recognize too much on your chart until other's, but maybe Sun ra
Forest Swords-Engravings
Normally I wouldn't take from the top 5 of my chart but seeing your Sturgill and Elliott Smith love I have to recommend Jason Isbell's Southeastern. Incredibly powerful songwriting that would probably go right up your alley.
Soft Machine - Third
Fugazi - Repeater
Sleater Kinney - Dig Me Out
I haven't heard Red Medicine yet so I can't recommend directly, but the rest of Fugazi's discography is really worth checking out. Also, if you like the kinda of creepy math rock in spiderland you'd probably like Shellac 1000 hurts
The beats are no where close to as dark, but if you love Government plates i'd check out Fashion Week and Interview 2016 as well
fuck you
...

Check out Talking Heads- Fear of Music its my favourite
I know 3 of these albums. Cheers if you can guess which three
>Lets see your chart then
no thanks
Fear of Music is my least favorite of their first 4 by quite a bit. Haven't heard past Remain in Light
Man there are a few albums I didn't think were that popular that keep showing up on almost everyone's list. Wonder what that says? New Sup Forumscore?
Good list, got a couple albums on my backlog on there that I'll check cause your chart reminded me of them. Maybe check out The Jesus and Mary Chain if you haven't already.
Most people that have a lot of prog but not Van der Graaf Generator have already heard of them and don't like them but if you haven't I'd definitely recommend checking them out.
Radiohead are one of those bands I keep trying to get into but they never really do it for me, but they have to be doing something right. I think I'm just missing something. Maybe I'll check them out again. I haven't listened to all their albums. From what I've heard (Hail to the Thief, OK Computer, their hits) most of their songs start out good but go on way too long without really developing into anything interesting to the point I lose interest.
Mazzy Star - So Tonight That I Might See
Band of Susans - Love Agenda
Tiger Trap - Tiger Trap
Dirty Three - Ocean Songs
Tyler the Creator - Cherry Bomb
Hot Sugar - God's Hand
Moby - Play
good taste
I do like Van Der Graaf generator :)
I don't find them to be the best, but they're certainly great.
>I'm the radiohead nigga
Kid A is what got me into them. I guess it's pretty catchy. If you haven't heard Amnesiac I'd suggest to listen to it. The Bends is some good brit classic rock too. Btw I love all their albums, re-reading that it didn't really sound like i did
...
love that Bobby Hutcherson album... you might try his second one called Components
can't refer much but if you want to get into jazz start with My Favorite Things by Coltrane and go from there. Also, Os Afro-Sambas by Moraes and Powell is a great samba album that has some similarities to Milton Nascimento
Getting sick of prog? Try some fusion. In a Silent Way is a good starting place.
excellent 8/10
that Miles album up top is some hot shit
>all those contrarian "I like the other album" picks
Speaking of fusion, I just remembered that I accidentally deleted Miles Davis' Bitches Brew.
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll certainly check em out.
