>Tfw people in your country actually argue against universal healthcare

Despite the fact that it has been proven to provide better results at half the cost of our system (or less) and that almost every developed country has it. Fuck you Southern assholes, I know you contributed to stopping us from getting it heavily.

Fuck off OP, this is America. Freedom isn't free and our forefathers fought the British for our right to die in the streets because we can't afford to buy insulin

Please
Fuck
Off
Retard

When it works for literally every other civilized capitalist/socialist country on the world and provides better results you cannot simply strawman "muh communism" Cletus. Maybe you should read a book for once.

>get more socialized healthcare
>costs for consumers go up even more
No guys, trust me, this is better

>We spend 2x as much on healthcare as a percentage of GDP as any other country in the world for worse results, to the point where our system is literally a laughingstock on Sup Forums.
>Our system saves consumers money.

But OP, now you have the choice of not being able to afford healthcare

You might be dying of cancer, yes, but you'll feel free to the last breath

at least we ain't gommies :-DDDDD
dog bless ameriga :-DDDDDD

This isn't a political board
Kys

MURRICA

>being laughed at by autists is more legitimate proofs than actual, real life price increases experienced over the past several years for thousands of low income Americans
>feelings mean more than facts
Really sends my noggin joggin

Premiums increased because the ACA was just a racket for insurance companies and not an actual social program like medicare

>Retard animeposter thinks Obamacare is single payer/universal healthcare and not some horrible abomination Republitards forced us into.

Really sends my noggin joggin' if you're not trolling. I guess it's a product of Southern (((education))).

>universal healthcare
>taxing me to death to pay for José Fernandez Hernandez Saurez and L'Qua'shawn Johnson's 17 children they can't afford

Fuck no

Unconstitutional. Do what you want in your own state, that's why we have them.

Racism is not an argument :-)

Democrats had a majority in both the House and the Senate when the ACA was drafted. You cannot possibly blame this on the Republicans.

>no no, this isn't REAL socialized healthcare, REAL socialized healthcare works
Hmmm, where have I heard this before?

>Falling for literally the oldest Republican bait-and-switch in the book, the racial card.

Jesus, for someone who would probably describe himself as red-pilled you sure are fucking gullible. You'd rather be fucked in the ass by insurance companies and still end up paying for all their healthcare when they get to the emergency room anyway than to pick the logical system that actually reduces costs and won't bankrupt you if you ever have a serious illness or disease.

I'm not that guy but Scott Brown's victory in the Massachusetts special elections gave the Republicans the ability to have a force in changing the bill around and forcing Obama to compromise and basically weigh the bill down because they threatened to Fillibuster.

I don't want to pay for Billy Joe IIII kids he can't afford either.

I can actually afford healthcare so that is not a worry for me at all.

They have real socialized healthcare in the Nordic countries and it works.
It's not the Republicans' fault, it's the fault of pussy-footing corporate shill Democrats

To make Uni healthcare work here it would take the government attacking the Insurance companies.

>Socialized healthcare hasn't been tried.

Oh...really? Mmmm...let's take a look at this map. I know it's really, really hard for you to understand it Cletus as you don't know your geography, but try.

Wrong again friend, Democrats didn't have a supermajority because one of the Dem senators died leaving them with only 59 seats, meaning they had to compromise with Republicucks who were 100% against a logical healthcare system.

>muh Nordic countries

>They have real socialized healthcare in the Nordic countries and it works.

And did it ever occured to you that there are maybe differences between the US and Nordic countries?

And lets not forget about government run VA.

Fuck no

Fuck off to Canada if you want the government to baby you.

Why not just immigrate to europe?

Maybe now, but what happens when you get older? Start a family? Lose your job? Insurance rates will just keep skyrocketing due to an appalling lack of regulation on drug prices and the inefficiency of insurance companies in general. Try thinking beyond the immediate and you will obviously see the benefits of the system-no matter what misfortune may fall you in life, at least you will have healthcare, instead of being literally left to die in a ditch.

What part of the Constitution says that healthcare is a federal responsibility?

You're wasting your time. He doesn't acknowledge that ethnic homogeneity doesn't play a huge role in why Nordic healthcare works.

Does****

>mmm yes, all those countries where people wait months for anything
Im so jealous

Immigration in the 21th century is impossible without either marriage or having very in demand skills/degrees. None of which is common on Sup Forums

Actually there is a difference, Kraut: we have more money than all of them but Norway

>He doesn't acknowledge that ethnic homogeneity doesn't play a huge role in why Nordic healthcare works.

Is this bait? It works because they are committed to funding the system and reducing social inequality (meaning that less people are in poverty, paying more taxes), not just because they are white.

Healthcare costs in the US didn't skyrocket until we had a bunch of illegal immigrants flock to to the US in droves.

>and it works.
You have no idea what you're talking about.

>they are committed
No, whites are committed. When everyone wants to contribute, it can work, but when you have high percentages of "people" who don't, it doesnt. That's what happens when you try to base your system off a completely inefficient system

Says the kid who has never had to have a major operation, ever.

>Be me
>Have actually (((decent))) health insurance.
>Need to have a surgery.
>Spend (8) months getting insurance approval after going through all these bullshit doctors to determine if I "need it")
>Finally get approval, told that I can have the surgery anytime in six months.
>January 1st comes around.
>Lol sorry user
>Now have to go to another round of bullshit doctors and examiners and have to wait 5 more months if I'm lucky before I can finally have it.

Fuck you if you defend this shit, not to mention the hassle you have to go with through insurance just to get them to pay for anything more than a regular doctor's visit. I can tell you that the wait times are just as long if not longer for anything major.

>abortion is still an issue in america
Notice how the only people against it are all either permavirgins and rednecks with 18 children. Because no one else in their right mind doesn't want the option to get rid of an unwanted pregnancy.

>Sorry user our "guidelines have changed lol, disregard that explicit promise that you could have the surgery any time in the next six months that we gave to you in writing."

>Moorway

Not him, but you have shit insurance then. All of my medical issues has been resolved with minimal issues.

>Healthcare costs in the US didn't skyrocket until we had a bunch of illegal immigrants flock to to the US in droves.
Actually, they skyrocketed because 10 or so healthcare companies monopolized the business due to government regulation on insurance coverage driving out the competition. But sure, keep spouting shit out your ass with no facts to back them up.

Are you going to ignore the huge factor that is population size in this!?

Furthermore us Euros, and especially Germany, have over a century of experience with this shit. If you believe the us could simply switch to a similar system without it taking at least a decade to get worked out shows you're about as stupid as the regular Democrat.

>tfw your country will never be conquered and enlightened by Finland

And what large operations have you had user?

kek this is worse than the free healthcare we get here

Maybe I have never been in myself, but for over a decade my mother was in and out of the hospital and I thank God we weren't in fucking Canada

I never said instantly you dumb Gercuck. It needs to happen though, you can't seriously be defending our current system or the Republican version which is just dumb and leaves a 64-year-old woman making $30,000/year paying $15,000 for healthcare after taxes? Or having us spend more than twice per capita on healthcare than any other country on the planet for shitty results?

>Anecdotes
Come on user, you can do better. Cite sources.

>tfw finland with a population of 300 million people and infinite amounts of money would usher in a new golden era of science, art and galactic colonialism

only downside is no one is allowed to express emotions publicly unless they are drunk

also mandatory sauna for public health reasons

Work at a hospital and you'll see why national healthcare wouldn't work here.

Too tired for that, but you can just google insurance wait times/approvals for major operations and you can see that I'm not just talking out my ass. And the fucked up thing is that we are seriously considering sending me to the UK or Belgium to have my surgery and pay it out of pocket because it would actually be cheaper even with the insurance subsidy. It's jaw surgery btw which I can get in Belgium for $13,000 whereas here, after insurance, it's still $18,000 (out of pocket) with the insurance covering 70%.

It's on my father's healthcare plan and he's a fucking lawyer too, so it's not some ghetto-ass insurance either. UHC if you are wondering.

Healthcare costs under the current system are bs.

What a beautiful dream

Except that Americans often have to wait longer for surgeries then Canadians.

>things are only ok if this 250 years old document says so

why are americans this fucking retarded?

>fuck having constitutions and shit IT'S 2017
third world as fuck mentality

This might be a foreign concept to sudacas, but that "old document" is called a "constitution" and its the set of laws that your government needs to abide by.

As a person who actually has to pay out the ass in taxes for universal healthcare, fuck universal healthcare.

Just because most of the Western world has bowed to the cancer of socialism doesn't mean you have to

Many people, especially in the South, think the constitution was something handed down by divine providence and that the government has zero responsibility to do anything not covered in it. Despite the fact that the founders clearly intended it to be a framework around which the government is built, not the entirety of the government's responsibility. Unfortunately education in our country is garbage so people don't realize that.

Idk, our constitution sucks ass and was LITERALLY written by slave raping Calvinist Anglos

The solution is easy. Just don't get sick you faggots.

As a person who has to pay out the ass for health insurance, fuck non-universal healthcare.

Just because America has bowed to the cancer of unrestricted capitalism doesn't mean you have to.

>our constitution sucks ass

kys tBh

>LITERALLY written by slave raping Calvinist Anglos

I don't see the problem

lol there's literally an amendment saying explicitly that any power not given to the federal government by the Constitution is a state responsibility. I'm beginning to think you're some kind of wetback because that is not a mistake somebody that went to school in this country would make. That and your bizarre attacks on your "Southern" strawman in every post.

If you hate America so much just fucking leave.

>Commie
basic human rights

constitutions have to be updated, and it was written by men, it could have mistakes and such, it's not made by god.
things change a lot over the course of 2 fucking centuries, you mongoloid fucks.

>As a person who has to pay out the ass for health insurance

Yeah you pay for yourself, while my money goes to "help" poor welfare leeches that become even more dependent on the government and need even more of my fucking taxes.

You have no fucking idea how fucked over we are here by taxes

Socialism is when the workers own the means of production. What you are describing is a social welfare program, and social welfare programs have existed under feudalism, mercantilism, capitalism, gommunism, etc.: they're not unique to any particular economic system.

>The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
Oh yes, it is southern peoples' who are poorly educated, yes the powers of the federal givemement aren't restricted by the constitution; it's more of what you'd guidelines than actual rules anyways right?

Well good thing it protects your right so say that then.

Of course he is. Can't afford insurance because he's a stupid poor mexican.

no u

Don't fix what ain't broken.

They were right that national healthcare shouldn't be up to the federal government when you're a nation of an extremely diverse 330 million populace.

...

You have no idea how fucked people here are by things we have to pay for that aren't covered by taxes, education and healthcare specifically, especially if you are in the income bracket where you are determined to be too high to qualify for grants or subsidies but too low to pay for everything out of pocket. It fucking sucks and I'd much rather be taxed than screwed over like this.

this is the power of liberal education

>be European
>die of asscancer

Medicaid expansion should cover you fine m8. What state do you live in?

get a better job fuck boy

You want a government that runs the VA to run EVEN MORE shit? Are you delusional? I don't want my tax dollars going to someone who is a leech.

Canada's nearly same. But I thought everyone just dies waiting to see a doctor here??

No but apparently Nordics do.

Wow, really fires up my neurons

>Fuck you Southern assholes, I know you contributed to stopping us from getting it heavily.

Why don't you split again? California would join the Northern states.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supremacy_Clause

What is the Supremacy Clause Cletus?

>The Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution (Article VI, Clause 2) establishes that the Constitution, federal laws made pursuant to it, and treaties made under its authority, constitute the supreme law of the land.[1] It provides that state courts are bound by the supreme law; in case of conflict between federal and state law, the federal law must be applied. Even state constitutions are subordinate to federal law.[2]

>This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing [sic] in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

>The constitutional principle derived from the Supremacy Clause is federal preemption. Preemption applies regardless of whether the conflicting laws come from legislatures, courts, administrative agencies, or constitutions. For example, the Voting Rights Act of 1965, an act of Congress, preempts state constitutions, and Food and Drug Administration regulations may preempt state court judgments in cases involving prescription drugs.
Congress has preempted state regulation in many areas. In some cases, such as the 1976 Medical Device Regulation Act, Congress preempted all state regulation. In others, such as labels on prescription drugs, Congress allowed federal regulatory agencies to set national minimum standards, but did not preempt state regulations imposing more stringent standards than those imposed by federal regulators. Where rules or regulations do not clearly state whether or not preemption should apply, the Supreme Court tries to follow lawmakers’ intent, and prefers interpretations that avoid preempting state laws.[7]

The South would get curb stomped....again

>universal healthcare is communism
American """"education""""

>nanny state

How much does a six pack of beer cost in your country?

Not a dream. If we had your resources we would start it that instant.

I mean come on.

This isn't an issue of preempting existing state regulations, it's assigning an entire new responsibility to the federal government which it didn't previously have.

Is that an issue?

Nobody said anything about a war you moron.

California, and no, our family makes more than Medicaid expansion. We're looking at paying >$30,000, possibly up to $40,000 a year on health insurance alone. Student loans are gonna be another $10,000/year despite the fact that all three kids went to community college for the first two years to shave down costs and went to state universities. It's fucking dumb. We also pay almost as much in taxes as we would in fucking Italy thanks to CA + federal taxes.
