This thread is for the discussion of the language, culture, travel, daily life, etc. of Japan. Let's tark at randam in Japanese and English. Take it easy!
Has anybody here been to or know of the University of Tsukuba?
My uni is offering a study abroad/exchange program and I'm thinking of applying for either University of Tsukuba, or Seinan Gakuin University. But the latter is in Fukuoka so I'm not really sure whether I went to go there.
I've spent a month in Japan before, and would love to go back again for 3 months or a whole year.

Tsukuba University is prestigious. Never heard of Seinan Gakuin. Fukuoka is a nice city though... busier than Tsukuba for sure.
Eli Morales
Oh shit, so you reckon unless I'm getting extremely high grades I won't get accepted? The info on my university's website says I need a minimum average grade of 60%, which I'm already well above, to apply for the exchange program.
I'm studying Film & Television right now so if I get into Tsukuba I'll probably be going the Bachelor of Art and Design.
Nathaniel Jones
The requirements should not be so hard if your university already has an exchange programme established. Tsukuba is very hard to get in, but probably not so much if you aren't for their degree. I think a Chilean guy, who has supposedly killed a Japanese girl in France, have studied in Tsukuba for a while.
Samuel Lewis
I recommend you to go to Tsukuba uni. My friends go there. The school is good. Tsukuba is inconvenience tho.
Anthony Stewart
Thanks for the help user, I appreciate it.
Thanks. Is it the location that makes it inconvenient?
how do I Japan Sup Forums? I want a change of pace and a restart on things also always like Japan itself. fuck nyc too this city is gross and I want to go to a place that isn't a cesspool of low class morons content in their own filth.
your country is too irrelevant to get it's own opening kek

1. JET 2. Marry a Japanese girl 3. If you have funds, go to Japanese uni and get a job after graduation. It is easier to get into prestigious Japanese unis like 東大 京大 as foreigner if you have brains and speak Japanese.
No matter what you say in Deutsch it always sounds like you want to shoot someone. For example "Ich liebe dich"

I'm 8/10 stateside and I imagine being a tall redhead in Japan would help with the girls but I want to make sure I don't get hooked by a gaijin hunter/gold digger so any advice on actual finding qts in Japan would be much appreciated, also what is JET? my friend you haven't seen stupid till you've been to an American uni, the majority are basic as fuck and only listen to rap music not to mention my school is in the Bronx and it's a filth pit, no one has any respect for basic cleanliness.

Just shows that no one is interested in Japan anymore. You were cool in the 90's and 2000's, but 2017 you're just another boring ass country with weird eyed people.
No, don't get mad at me Sailor Moon! I even like your language some way, especially "O Tannenbaum" song. But even one of Prussian kings said that even though Germany is a great nation their language sounds like horse snorting...

Do Japanese prefer owning laptops or desktop computers over there? I assume the laptops for mobility and able to take it to school/university?
