Why, her discography is tiny and generic pop.

She has like 4 albums

Aphex for sure, also Zappa and Ween. Beach Boys had some highs and lows and J.G. Thirlwell was pretty inzane.

>thinking Grimes fans care about the ''music''

You guys are so gullible.

True.

generally ones that are really big, full of high quality material

ae, steven wilson, and stereolab come to mind

Aphex Twin for sure

Scott Walker
Sonic Youth
Darkthrone
Turbonegro
Ween
Velvet Undrground

I think Pink Floyd when I finally started listening them as a teenager.

Death Grips unironically

...

Buckethead
Clark
King Gizz

why can't we just be sober?

damn you're right, that was awesome

Ween easily

>never actually listened to her music
>forms an opinion
autism

bob dylan, ween

Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Autechre, Zappa, Ween, Fishmans (as unfortunately small as it is)

Aphex Twin and Autechre for me

i am obsessed

lapfox/renard, just because of the variety of the genres he produces

how her pre-art angels stuff is generic pop? it's most of her discography

definitely Autechre
not an artist, but digging through Night Slugs releases was really fun
Beefheart
Nick Cave
Sun City Girls and Jandek, but to a lesser extent, they have gems hidden under layers of mediocrity

Venetian Snares

...

Merzbow

Boris is not necessarily my favorite band but they sure as hell have my favorite overall discography.

Aphex Twin + Devin Townsend

both of them explore so many different styles with such a high level of talent.

King Crimson was soooo much fun

1980s best period

Tom Waits, every album is totally unique yet retains his style

This , that thing is huge also like to add
>jorge Reyes
>boris
>boredoms
>ariel pink
>acid mothers

Also others I forgot have a nice selection to pick from
>sun ra
>Venetian snares
>keiji

Definitely these. I too am slightly obsessed.

Peter Gabriel

The Beach Boys

It goes from fun '60s pop, to ambitious emotional turmoil, to sick art-pop, to the dying mind of a genius (and onwards unto the shit-filled breach)

Absolutely Aphex, so much variety. I'd say Autechre's has been the most satisfying: I've never had more "holy shit this is great" moments anywhere else.

Was about to post this, yeah it's brilliant. Love You is an amazingly emotionally deep record, specifically.

>beach boys discord

Also Danny Brown, Kanye, DG, Pixies

>Love You
hell yeah man, it's a contender for their best record imo, it's such an honest record, while also offering the fact that it's a bit naive and "shit"

Velvet Underground was fun. 4 albums, zero disappointment.

Personal favorite was probably Guided by Voices. Beyond Alien Lanes and Bee Thousand there are so many amazing songs to discover.

I'd say Kettel. Took me a while to get into him but once I did, he really suprised me on every album I've listened to.
He's got a very distinct "kettel"-sound imo. everything is so well made and a bit child-like, lots of strange and playful melodies

Underworld. On the surface they're just one of those 90s dance acts but they've got some really cool shit deep in their discography.

Pic related, it's a soundtrack collab with Gabriel Yared, never heard anything that sounded more like a European city than this.

This.

Right now it's mister acne scars, every single album is so wildly different yet so recognisably him, I'm enjoying it a lot

David Bowie. Without competition. There was a time I just got out of bout with the sole reason to listen to Bowie. He also has a great deal of amazing bootlegs B-side stuff.

Bump

I wouldn't say Aphex Twin but entirety of Richard D. James's work. It seems neverending

especially once you add the soundcloud dump. There's lots of rubbish tracks in there but also so many gems you shouldn't skip over it.

I'm currently trying to digest Dean Blunt and James Ferraro's stuff but finding it is real hard
I hope this adds to my experience.

The second half of this song is so good

NIN and tront's general discog

Arthur Russell. He has such a wide variety of styles.

Soulwax of course.

bjork

THE URE
C

This man right here.

i mean doom was fun

Great picks. Currently digging through Stereolab and it's such a journey.

NIGGA, I love that album. Nobody listens to it.

Aphex, Dylan, de Lucia, Blur

Boards of Canada

> Sonic Youth

Holy shit yes. Two years ago I heard The Diamond Sea Radio edit in a coffee shop. I asked the barista what band it was and two years later I'm still sifting through their discography.

I never got into them in their heyday, but glad I found them now.
