Joe Jackson's hands down one of my favourite pop songwriters, he's pretty great, making extremely catchy power pop songs, but with more extensive arrangements and ironic lyrics. That album in particular was recorded entirely in one take, as if it were live, too.

It's a compilation album released in 97 featuring two albums from 50 and 51 as well as 10 bonus tracks. It's very good IMO although not totally cohesive, some tracks are Latin themed, some have vocals etc. The tracks that don't fall into those two descriptions tend to shift from slow and romantic ballads to fast-paced, tense, densely layered progressions. Great use of strings throughout
