What are some good movies to watch while high?
I'm tired of watching 2001 or enter the void for the 50th time every Friday night.

i'll tell you what pal, i spend my teen years trying to answer that exact question. turns out, there's no real answer.
just watch good movies. they don't have to be DUDE related. personally i prefer comfy-tier stuff.
i like to watch seinfeld or veep.
Batman V Superman
Nice choice
...
Cosmos
Quantum Leap
Rick and Morty
forget movies, watch a nature documentary
Dude I haven't seen that in like a decade, I remember it was pretty great though I'll definitely get that queued up.
I've seen it a few times and it's pretty good, but when I'm stoned I don't really like watching stoner comedies and shit for some reason, like too meta or something.
I do that on the weekdays, I try to watch some unique stuff on weekends.
Fuck super hero movies dude.
Anime? Might check it out.
Both are depressants and the person who wrote it has no idea what depressant actually means (hint: it's not opposite of anti-depressant).
Man, just watch good movies you haven't seen. I don't believe in this concept of "movies that exclusively benefit from weed" anymore. It's silly.
en.wikipedia.org
This what it's refering to, alchohol is one of the most prominent CNS depressants while weed is not.
mods please underage b& OP
pic is unrelated but...
>Cannabis is addictive no matter what those hipster millenial faggots say in their facebook posts
>Cannabis, in all practical means, does cause cancer given it's common ingestion methods; i.e. smoking.
I'm 27 dude, what makes every non smoker think that pot smokers are teenagers?
This
>>Cannabis is addictive no matter what those hipster millenial faggots say in their facebook posts
No it is not. This is a lie repeated forever. I've stopped cold turkey and not started again for a years. Coffee has a worse effect on me when I stop drinking it.
I watch Yu-Yu Hakusho while high.
depressants are fun, bitch.
That doesn't change the fact that alcohol doesn't "destroy brain cells" and weed doesn't cure cancer.
>zero deaths in history
maybe from the immediate physical effects but are you seriously telling me no one has ever done anything stupid high that got them killed?
don't watch movies while high, it just takes me out of the movie.
suddenly I'm aware that these people are actors and they are saying lines from a script in front of a camera when I'm high
maybe get a little high, but not so high that you're aware that there is a director behind the camera
Nobody has ever had their underlying mental illness triggered by a beer.
>not being so high that you realize why the director shot a movie the way he did and having that creative insight be why it's fun to watch
This. I didn't even try it until I was 26.
>Age 15
>I'll never use any drugs, ever!
>Age 28
>I'll probably never do heroin
Ghost Dog is a good movie to watch stoned. The pacing and general atmosphere of calm throughout is perfect for it.
I object to the cancer and brain cells claims emphatically. It also doesn't "save" cops money and time.
But, on the whole, it is safer and generally better for you than alcohol and it's utter bullshit that it's illegal federally.
Coloradofag btw.
People have stopped booze and fags cold turkey, that doesn't mean they aren't addictive. People get fucking addicted to gambling you fucking moron, of course anything, cannabis included, can be addictive.
here's the answer kiddo:
nobody would know what's a good movie but you
Apocalypse Now
...
i saw xmen apocolypse while high recently
I burst out laughing when magneto's daughter got killed by a clumsy bowman
no one else was laughing so I had to change to a quiet snicker
>it's a Sup Forums bait thread on Sup Forums
>age 32
>I'll probably stop heroin when I have kids
God bless Colorado. Sorry about my state being such dicks towards you (Nebraska)
The Good the Bad and the Ugly was awesome high, but really the only correct answer to this is watch movies you already enjoy sober. Booze is better for watching shitty movies, if you watch a shitty movie the high will only depress you about it. LOTR is good despite the length though.
I didn't even start smoking weed until I was 31 and had a 4 year old kid .
I'm definitely not doing anything harder though.
considering anything can be psychologically addictive, I don't see your point. beyond being contrarian for the sake of it.
marijuana is not physically addictive, like opiates. there is a difference between physical and psychological addiction.
wow smoke causes cancer damn millennials just got BTFO
Literally any movie with a lot of colour and ambience.
Fehérlófia
Mind Game
Only God Forgives
Naked Lunch
Lost River
The Place beyond the pines
Blue Velvet
Dark City
The Wall
Sorcerer
Thief
Bronson
Holy motors
Beyond the black rainbow
Irreversible
I stand alone
Fantastic planet
Perfect Blue
Ghost in the shell (1995)
Blade Runner
Wes Anderson movies
some of this movies are mediocre but high it just makes a lot of sense to watch them.
Weed is instant comfy mode so any movie could work imo
>no deaths ever
I love weed but hate this meme.
Who is to say weed hasn't been responsible for any deaths? It doesn't impair my driving, but strong weed will definitely get some people spun enough that they'll be disoriented on the road (or even walking in traffic).
It helps if you're a Joy Division fan
i've always thought movies to be kind of a waste for a high
highs do the good shit on shorter period things like music, many kinds of games. while there can be good moments for movies, most of the time i'd just lose track of what's happening.
I hear you. I didn't start until I was twenty seven after I got out of the army. I've got nasty PTSD so I smoke for that. I'll do psychedelics but nothing harder.
that doesn't make weed responsible for deaths fuckwad. that just means you're too retarded to have a license because you drive under the influence.
And there have been hundreds of people who actually die from drinking too much water.
This graphic is full of hyperbole (and downright lies - "grows brain cells?" Wtf?) but it is clearly a better choice than alcohol.
I've met very few who quit cigarettes cold turkey successfully the first or fifth time. I've met plenty of drinkers and pot smokers who have. Gambling is its own thing all together.
So we should outlaw booze and "fags"?
>Impossible to overdose on cannabis
Someone's never been too high.
They mean to die by OD. You can't die from a weed OD. You'll just pass out and then wake up when sober.
You don't die, you just feel like you're going to forever (arguably worse)
It's not chemically addictive though.
Anything can be mentally addictive
Me too, in the theater, the whole opening sequence was so wacky I almost burst out laughing in the middle of it
I'm clearly talking about driving on weed in comparison to other substances, like booze, benzos, cocaine, opiates, or cough medicine, etc.
Binge watch re zero. Anime kino.
"Habit forming" isn't the same as "addicting." It can fuck you up just as bad, but if you're addicted to something, stopping cold turkey can actually harm you physically.
I watched Lynch's Eraserhead high.
Big mistake
i agree with the overall point here, but whoever prepared this graphic is genuinely retarded.
>Cannabis
>Non-addictive
>Anti-Depressant
>Cures Cancer
>CURES CANCER
>Zero Deaths in History
>Grows Brain Cells
This is what stoners ACTUALLY BELIEVE!!
Alcohol absolutely does fucking destory brain cells you retard.
Ever heard of 'wetbrain?'
Because I've seen it's effects irl A LOT.
That bit about weed 'growing' brain cells is totally bullshit though I'm sure.
Watch Blue Velvet high
Exactly. Stopping weed might make you "miss it." Quitting alcohol cold turkey leads to delerium tremens and a whole host of other things.
Quitting alcohol 'cold turkey' has killed hundreds of hardcore drunks.
There's a reason they taper you off the shit in treatment.
Almost any horror movie while high is a fucking awful experience, I still have some kind of ptsd from watching the ring high
It's not addictive. That's an incontrovertible fact.
There are studies that CBD actually does reverse cancer growth, but generally this is hyperbole.
Definitely doesn't "grow" brain cells.
>watching Blue Velvet at all
Watching horror movies high is the best. The Thing is my personal favorite
>not watching Lynch's best film
I don't know what your image is trying to convey
Green Room was amazing high
It's saying you're a fucking idiot for thinking Blue Velvet is anything but unwatchable garbage.
watch ray mears northern wilderness or any survivorman episodes where hes in the snow
when i used to smoke weed it was more like i thought i was one of the characters onscreen, and i would have this mental riddle to unfold as to which character i most resembled.
sometiems it was a humbling experience because i wasn't always the main character
Nice, still haven't seen it. Probably next week. Gonna watch The Invitation high. Can't wait.
Hezrog's Nosferatu is amazing as well when you're baked
>weed
>anti-depressant
While weed doesn't 'grow braincells' it does open new neural pathways in the brain that grants you access to otherwise unused braincells. That's about as close to growing new braincells that science has developed though so I guess its somewhat accurate.
>watching horror movies high
God no! It ramps my anxiety up too high. I can't even watch the weirder episodes of Adventure Time.
I stick to comedies mostly. Felt like an idiot, but Ricky Bobby made me laugh so damn hard.
Well, that's just like your opinion, man.
>It's not addictive
Yes it is, some of my friends have serious weed addictions
OVER THE FUCKING LINE!
It's not addictive. Your friends just like weed.
I encourage you to visit the googles
Cannabis is a dangerous Drug and should not be made legal.
The one thing that people dont talk about when it comes to these mass shootings and general crime; is the correclation between drug use and crime.
Cannabis is the drug of choice for criminals with no empathy or desire to succeed under normal conditions.
>non addictive
>zero deaths
>grows brain cells
kek who wrote this
Don't be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in The Hood is my favorite comedy to watch while high.
All these years and that movie still holds up as the best Wayan's film.
My friend has been in the mental hospital several times because of his addiction, fuck off with your bullshit
Its not physically addictive as in you'll suffer withdraws, but its certainly got the potental to be mentally addictive
Your friend was mentally ill long before he started smoking weed, moron.
Yes, that's how it works.
Hurry up and buy!
Green Room
That's not meant to be a pun or anything, it was just a really good movie.
I feer solly foh you mudder.
No, he was a stable person. I'm sick of idiots like you saying that can't be dangerous.
Goodfellas
That scene with Billy Batts...
Anything has the ability to be 'mentally addicting.' Some people like eating shit.
Wud ju say bout my mama?
He APPEARED to be a stable person you fucking idiot.
Mental illness can fester for years before any outward signs are present.
There's probably a bunch of shit in your 'friends' history that you're not even aware of.
>waaaaah listen to me my personal experiences are more credible than science waaaaaah
Not an argument
I'm addicted beautiful female feet
I have never once heard of a person needing treatment for marijuana abuse. And I live in Colorado.
Your friend has something else going on, user.
Im gonna mainly suggest speed racer, for its visuals, and its a pretty fun flick
Others I would suggest
Idle Hand
Evil Dead two
Casino
Sin City
I don' wan' no trabbul, you reave my stole!
I'm watching casino right now, what makes you think it's good while high?
I love it, just curious. Doesn't seem like a movie to watch while baked, but There Will Be Blood is one of my favorites while high.
>anti-depressant
>cures cancer
>grows brain cells
i like the ganj too but this just isn't true
Fuck off, long term weed consumption causes mental issues.
