Normie music always sucked but nowadays alternative bands suck as well
Austin Clark
in prosperous times people want to feel edgy and counter cultural, "real" if you will
in calamitous times people want to forget their sufferings and embrace hedonism
Thomas James
You're too preoccupied with their pop music.
Owen Ross
It's actually getting a bit boring.
Jack Campbell
I miss them too.
William Clark
>Where are the hateful, depressive and dark American songs from 2000~2007? there has been nothing like that and will.
Juan Cooper
And you entered a coma in the beginning of 2000's?
Carson Ward
>tfw still listening to Linkin Park's Hybrid theory and meteora >tfw don't enjoy modern music anymore
Thomas Sanchez
The only people still dumb enough to follow the mainstream after the Internet boom are LGBT drones and teenage girls.
What did you expect?
Josiah Harris
nah i mean youve made real dark shit in indies and euros ofc.
Brandon Gomez
>mfw all radio stations in my county plays 90's music 80% of the time because america's new releases are so shit they won't even bought the rights for them
Andrew Walker
white men aren't allowed to be part of american culture anymore
Nathaniel Young
I just realized I don't even know what pop music is anymore.
90% of what I listen to is modest mouse and tom waits. am I becoming an old man?
Camden Smith
the same happened to me when i was 13, i ditched new pop music for 2pac, johnny cash and tom waits
ever since 2005 ive had no idea who new artist are and what new music is like
>colorado >america weed is incompatible with freedom, havokfags
Jaxson Johnson
Lol Tom Waits is fucking horrible
Juan Gutierrez
The stuff played on the radio in the 2000s was the same poppy dance club crap. You're not gonna hear your favorite extreme metal band on the radio.
Ryder Martinez
justin timberlake and bruno mars are alright
James Flores
>people are already unironically wanting 2000s music to come back as if it was any good to begin with God damn
Leo Rivera
>Tom Waits is fucking horrible 'k'
Joshua Reyes
Neat Youtube comment copypaste.
Elijah Wood
People are nostalgic for their childhoods.
James Diaz
Nobody needs to relive nu metal. That's like the equivalent of feeling nostalgic fondness for that stomach flu you had when you were 7 years old.
Jayden Wilson
depends on the radio channel you listen to
Nathaniel Brooks
Say in 2002, the stuff played on the radio was like Avril Lavigne, Britney, Destiny's Child, No Doubt, etc. Were we in the early 2000s, the huehue would be complaining that they don't play grunge music on the radio anymore
Luis Gomez
Hi T balls to the wall music is patriarchal and racist.
time to go listen to our mtv return of the rock CDs, boys
Justin Powell
Not everything on the radio was nu-metal.
Jaxon Ward
Yeah, it was also Britney Spears, Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, Fergie, Daddy Yankee, 50 Cent...
Nicholas Edwards
There's currently money in seizing gay culture.
In 20 years LGBTetc will have long been part of everyday life and there won't be any profitable opportunity to sell culture. For a comparison, the punk scene was harvested about 20-30 years ago and now the only way to sell punk music is to allow yourself to become poor (this was also the most likely option back then, but now it's mandatory).
If you can shoehorn your own financial interest into gay culture now, it'll pay off for decades to come. Gay empowerment songs from the 2010s are going to be classic anthems fof the rest of the century.
Jason White
But your embed is gay also.
Christian Clark
>Eminem Rap God, honestly.
Dylan Fisher
>red >gay >all of them married
What is not gay for you?
Levi Barnes
Seriously, fuck off. Even in 2000's you still could listen "Stop crying your heart out" in radios.
>"Stop crying your heart out" Oh, I see, that makes it much better (not)
Nolan Diaz
My little sister was listening this song everyday two years ago and also M83. I think the new trend is boring dance music. I don't listen radio since 2005 I think.
Well no, nobody played that on the radio. OP had a bunch of A7X CDs back then and forgets what Top 40 was actually like.
Justin Ward
Which of course, they didn't play grunge on the radio either in the early 90s, but there was a lot of Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson.
Jonathan Jackson
>There's currently money in seizing gay culture. >Gay empowerment songs from the 2010s are going to be classic anthems for the rest of the century. So, just like what happened during the disco era.
Dylan Young
>disco era
This. AIDS pandemy also stopped this trend desu.
William Morales
they did, along with mariah carey and janet jackson
William Young
>people who solely listen to pop music and shitty metal giving diatrbies about music lol
OP forgot New Metal didn't play in the radios. Except some songs from Evanescense and Linkin Park.
Aaron Jones
What do you think of Sepultura, or at least 80's-90's Sepultura? I knew very little about Brazil before I got into them. I remember seeing them on MTV headbangers ball. They said something about Sao Paulo being a toxic shit hole.
Blake Moore
It's not just about what they play on the radio, Nu Metal is pretty much dead now
