>"I shop around for hospitals when having a heart attack"

the plan that saved healthcare

1. life saving procedures, medications, etc are subsidized

2. everything is is paid for by the patient

take off your proxy cleetus

You can shop around for insurance

>"I wait 20 hours in line to get seen for stab wounds"

>"I wait 20 years to get out of medical debt because my insurer jewed me again"

...

>"I die in the waiting room because my cuckold country is retarded"

Whatever calms your autism m8

That's not an argument. Healthcare in Canada is shit.

speaking of lines,

last week I posted images of my nearest ER's wait times (almost never goes above 15 mins) and someone mentioned I should check on a monday.

Well I checked on monday and it was normally less than a 10 minute wait, including 3 minute wait at 5pm (3min is lowest they go as a time estimate for paperwork I believe)

so if that person happens to be around, there you go

Universal health care amounts to your ERs being swamped with pooskins and slant eyes carrying tuberculosis and other diseases long since eradicated in the developed world.

You can't be serious right now

>letting your grandma die because you are too poor and the treament would throw your family into debt spiral
vs.
>letting you grandma NOT die because you pay your taxes and the state covers majority of healthcare bills

>letting your grandma NOT die because you have insurance and the company pays for the majority of it and you have a nice salary to afford it

The US basically has free healthcare for the elderly.

literally the worst group to give free healthcare to
if you give young people free healthcare, they'll be more healthy and able to work and pay taxes and usually pop out a few more future tax payers
if you give old people free healthcare, they will just die a little later with more expensive maladies to come
is this why everyone hates obamacare? in germany, old people have to pay more if they chose a non-statutory health insurance

Yeah but old people play off the sympathy card.

reality is:
>letting your grandma die because even when you pay the taxes because the state provided service is inefficient due to useless dindus exploiting it and delaying it for people who really need it just so they can cheat da systum and get a bunch of shekels when suing the government for providing terrible service.

Obviously, this is a mischaracterization of arguments in favor of using free market principles to improve healthcare. Many advocates suggest greater price transparency for routine procedures and checkups, preferably with fixed and published prices for the most common procedures. This would force hospitals to compete more directly and allow patients/consumers to make purchase decisions with full knowledge. This would be combined with changing the primary purpose of health insurance to cover rare or unexpected conditions and emergencies more like insurance for other things. Just as car insurance doesn't cover the wheels wearing down or the belts needing to be replaced, just as home insurance doesn't cover reshingling the house or repainting the walls, health insurance does not work when it covers routine maintenance and checkups. Many of these routine tasks don't require a full hospital with all of its equipment and specialists, they can be performed by GPs in small specialized offices. The current system is a travesty and exists more for the welfare of the insurance companies rather than the the benefit of the people and needs to be changed. Hopefully the new system will fix some of the issues seen in other countries and bring our system up the the level of the rest of the developed world's. I don't know nearly enough about Canada's system to comment on it.

>If u dont agree with me you hate poor people, also probably gays and blacks

appeal to emotion is not an argument

>isn't it better when everyone agrees with me that poor people are sub-human?

>It's so easy to argue when you just greentext the person's post and then exaggerate what they're saying to make them look crazy and irrational

>The young (

time to stop suckling those teets la

Healthcare shouldn't cover check-ups and basic things.
Government should only cover herd immunity practices.
Healthcare should only cover emergency events.

You wouldn't use car insurance on a flat tire, etc.

check ups should be encouraged tbqh, also taking preventative measures should be the norm.

But that's literally the implication of what you're saying though, whether you want it or not.

You ever read Bertrand Russell's "The Superior Virtue of the Oppressed"? He ridicules the idea that the poor and oppressed are more moral people than the rest of us simply by virtue of being poor and oppressed.

>if I put it in greentext with an angry frog next to it then it's automatically wrong

I need to read this actually.

Was never a huge fan of the "rich people are eviiil they'll screw you over for money!" when they need money a lot less than some poorfag who would gladly sell you down the river for $500.

but people can be really poor, not afford checkups, and then require very expensive emergency care that could've been prevented

also tons of burger sharters give themselves heart attacks

I don't think that's what he was getting at m8. Both rich and poor, regardless of perceived moral superiority, should have access to some level of medical care (especially in emergencies).

>Both rich and poor, regardless of perceived moral superiority, should have access to some level of medical care (especially in emergencies).

You get what you can pay for. This is an iron law of human society.

...

well considering you can lower your premiums on insurance by doing things that lower the risk of you getting sick/injured. Gym memberships on the top of my head

kek, I wish I could give zero fucks like Max

>people who have less money don't deserve any healthcare treatment whatsoever

Correct. Poor people deserve to burn

>Believing in a free system means you hate the poor

Dumbass

But the health of a human is much more important than any material possessions like your cars or furniture.

You can get health care alright if you're poor, it just won't be as good.

...

>poor people can only have access to a qualified nurse 1x per decade, it's the iron law of society

...

you can stop greentexting now

There's several billion people in the world. We're relatively disposable.

(You)

Check ups rarely produce people who follow preventitive care. That has to be taught throughout your life, usually by your parents
But making the price of check up visits transparent and comparable would reduce the cost of them.

>I'm sick of being told about poor people

>But the health of a human is much more important than any material possessions like your cars or furniture.

That's an awfully good spook there.

fuck off

>developed First World countries have the healthiest, fittest people
Stop the presses.

...

Why do you keep quoting what I think?

Poors belong in gas chambers, I'm not ashamed to admit it. You sound like a butthurt poor lol

Nah more like some leftist university student living off his rich parents' money.

Sure just show me the part of the Constitution that says that

>We're relatively disposable.
Well, if you only think about humans as a ressource but even then you'd want to preserve your ressources because they're virtually limited.

>A person's finances determine whether I treat them as humans or not

The US barely made the list and is on par with Costa Rica, Chile, and Croatia

CORRECT ONCE AGAIN

>lol just kill all the poor ppl xDDddD
not an argument

>good
>rights

>if it's not in the US constitution, then it doesn't matter

I vote to make you give me your money

Gas all niggers and then get rid of farm subsidies on fat and sugar. That will fix pretty much everything.

Havijg check ups covered by insurance only hurts poor people who need lower rates when they're actually hurt. Reducing the barrier to entry to administering preventative care and not attaching it to insurance saves everyone money.

>Poors deserve rights because they just do

Not an argument :')

>healthcare is a right

>A random internet stranger can parrot my edgy personal philosophy without much thought whatsoever

It matters but its not the governments job to pay for your healthcare. That's your own responsibility and there are many charities that can help

easist fix:

government pays a certain percent of the cost depending on your income, no matter the expense, kind of like tax brackets but the poor get more assistance

then that percent is scaled based on how necessary the treatment is

good post

(((Ben Shapiro)))

doesn't matter if me or you think that, society as a whole thinks that so it's the way it is

stay poor and crying lol

this time spent weeping could be better spent working, maybe you'd get less poor

Wew lad

>It's not the government's job to look after it's citizens, that's why there's no publicly funded police, firefighters, army, court system, roads in civilised countries.

The easiest fix is removing government completely from healthcare, not creating a second legion of beaureaucrats to rival the IRS you fucking spic

>there are people who unironically oppose free healthcare
cannot fabricate

Constitution says the government is supposed to do those things. It does not say government is supposed to gib healthcare.

What you are not going to listen to his argument because "lel he is le internet meme"? Listen to him and disprove his argument if you have any credibility.

>There are people who unironically support free healthcare

cannot fabricate

He's unironically correct

Having regular checkups is important. If you limit the checkups to 1 every 2 years there will be no abuse.

Well, it depends on the values of your society of course. If you value human beings highly you'll do everyting you can to keep them healthy, fed, with basic education and whatnot.

>free

>I take this internet stuff really seriously so don't try and satirise me or I'll hit you with my really witty and unnerving insults and projections about who you are.

>let's de facto deny people healthcare so we don't have to wait as long
Brilliant

you're not canadian

i bet you're some queerbec weirdo or worse an immigrant, god forbid, maybe even a yank

the point isn't that it's free

ah yes, america
