rednecks

picklegate

Gray and blue, interesting colors to use.

It's bullshit any one voter's voice means more than any others. Straight percentage is needed.

Living on more land doesn't make your opinion matter more. The significant city-vs-country division means a lot, but it doesn't justify his victory against the popular vote.

Hi and welcome to your first day at American citizen orientation. First, America is a republic not a democracy. this means that you vote for local reps, who vote for you. Second, the presidents position and title is the commander and chief. this means that their power is limited and that they are not the emperor.

So you deserve more political power because you have less neighbours? Interesting choices.

Because everyone hated her to begin with. She was a candidate forced down peoples throats from the beginning while Bernie Sanders was the clear choice of the democratic party but because the democrats didn't have his puppet strings they stonewalled him into failure. They all voted for their favorite shill as the candidate, smugly thinking that they were a shoe in, and that noone would vote for the Don because from their broken minds she was an obvious and clear choice but the voters saw through the dishonesty, the fraud and and general cuntness she has and voted Donald in. The DNC had complete control over this election and forced us to vote in the Don.

and thats exactly how it works at the state level.

Remember, it is the United STATES of America.

It is a Federal Constitutional Republic, not a Democracy.

lol how exactly does that map explain the electoral college?

the point of the electoral college was to make a compromise between either only letting educated people vote or letting educated and uneducated people vote

the fear was that if we let uneducated people vote then a charismatic tyrant would trick them and be able to assume power by exploiting them (trump)

the whole thing is very ironic

>power is limited
>begins destroying the future of earth in 6 weeks
>limited

Ghetto trash

Serly

do you even know the difference between a democracy and a republic?

this is such a weird fallacy
there are plenty of good albeit subjective arguments in favor of the electoral college. if you think about this image for even one second, it makes no sense. physical size on the map has no relationship with how much power a group of people should hold. it's against the most fundamental ideas of democracy.

She didn't win because Obama and PC culture pissed people off enough these last few years that large numbers of people wanted to vote for a candidate like Trump in reaction, that's what I think

RURAL AND SUBURBAN RETARDS

Why are you even here if you are asking that question?

Do you?

That is limited. He could have done it faster without those limits.

It's rigged

/thread

lol because i dont think you know

in a democracy the people directly govern themselves, in a republic officials are elected to govern in the people's stead

in other words republics create a "middle man" between government and the citizen, that "middle man" is now known as a "politician"

...

You just said exactly what that other user did. Good job, you sure proved us wrong.

i wasnt trying to prove anyone wrong

And this is a good thing?

oh wow. look guys it 2004 is back. you fucks forgot that this is the same shit the libs cried about for 8 years of bush. Then everyone forgot and moved on as soon as we got obumer. America does this same cycle every 8 years. Try to think, its hard but try.

You and everyone who keeps posting this stupid bullshit in the aftermath of the election need to either take a class in US government or kill yourselves immediately. The EC functions the way it does because the US is a FEDERATION, not because it is a REPUBLIC. A republic is simply a state in which elected representatives hold political power, as opposed to the citizenry.

I'm assuming this is from the Brooking Institute study.

brookings.edu/blog/the-avenue/2016/11/29/another-clinton-trump-divide-high-output-america-vs-low-output-america/

Republicans love to point out that only 500 counties voted for Hillary; about 15% of total number of counties.

What they always ignore is that us living in the 15% produce 2/3rds of America's GDP. We pay for America while rednecks in the rest of the country are too busy dying from opiates, self-inflicted guns shots or fucking their sisters.

Do you guys even know how to work bru?

>and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands

>implying anyone actually lives in the gray zones

population comparison is a thing

Based on that logic, we should do away with the Senate.

There is a reason why every state has 2 senators. The same reason every state has ATLEAST 3 electoral votes.

If the popular vote were to be instated, those living in the gray zones would be forced to conform to entirely new ideals ad fundmentals.

The NPO works fine in smaller countries. In the U.S, however, it will not.

voted for Bernie in the primaries, and Trump in the election

Fuck the DNC

#83 Russians posing as Bernie Bros went into Bernie forums and and spread blatant lies.

hey now, lets not be logical about this.

>Russians

>voted for Bernie in the primaries
no you didn't

Why would I lie?

What does population density of rural areas have to do with anything?

If there are more city slickers than rednecks, then the city slickers should win. And vice versa. That's democracy.

i dunno , maybe cause you have no scruples

I even voted for Obama in 2012
