That J Dilla and Pusha T beat are great
Because of this thread, just found out B.E.N.E.F.I.T. came back, and is dropping new shit.
Thanks
Best instrumentals? I like the shit on Kno vs HOV - The White Albulum
but yeah, Benefit. wow
damn that PSA remix is sick
...
Which Dilla beat? Dilla produced The Light too
"So Far To Go"
That's my personal favorite of all time, but Midnight in a Perfect World is a close second
You should listen to , along with The Avalanches' Since I Left You, the Beastie Boys' Paul's Boutique, and Dilla's work in general it's the gold standard
will do thanks

Chinese Arithmetic might be my favourite instrumental hip-hop track on a non-instrumental hip-hop album
Anyway, I like the last track a lot
>the truman show
>not supersonicvents

If you have als you can't play a hip-hop instrument
ok
I never really "got" RZA. His beats seem way more boring than other producers of the era, like Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Prince Paul, Q-Tip or Large Pro
I like his more gritty beats a lot, ODB - return to the 36 chambers really sounds like it was recorded in a damp ghetto basement (probably because it was) and really sets a mood like that, plus on tracks like protect your neck the instrumental hypes up each verse a lot by changing around for each one
Yeah, his music is much less notable than other rappers but he gets a lot of acclaim regardless.
Wun two - a jazz remix
S.maharba - S.maharba
Apollo Brown - trophies instrumental
No YouTube because on phone
is okay, thanks for the contribution bud

Not an instrumental but it's the best instrumental.

Bump
before dilla, nujabes and the whole lofi/boom bap revival the absolute best beat ever was this one, and still is to some extent
It's already been been posted in this thread along with another souls of mischief track
youtube.com
He gets acclaim because he's produced a lot of records that people consider to be top tier, cuban lynx, liquid swords, 36 chambers/wutang forever, ironman, etc
The thread asked for instrumentalism in hip-hop. You gotta consider something's fucked up when the best the entire genre has to offer pales to the most generic three chord singer/songwriter schlock.

This album makes me happy
